I preferred to used navigation g maps viewer on my Huawei watch gt 3, cause its more accurate and have more search location then petal maps.. meanwhile both of petal mas or navigation maps cannot be used while on sport mode, thats really bad cause i want to look on maps while cycling

Di Honor GS Pro saya juga sama, cuma bisa tanda jalan lurus aja, sisanya cuma tanda seru.
Iseng pake HP yg Android 9, bisa nampilin belok kiri dan kanan, tapi sisanya (seperti roundabout) masih tanda seru

not working for me... all the apps are update, but still geting that messege "start navigation using petal maps...." even i set a route on my phone petal maps app
After installing HMS core try logging off and on again from the health app

no, you can use your watch by itself and it will work fine.
but you'll get a more precise tracking if you use your phone's gps
Dear Gustavo please tell me how long is battery life using such GPS feature only? Do you think is it worth to use It as a cycling navigation or short battery life eith GPS usage makes it not sufficent. Regards , Jerry
Honestly I don't normally use the gps, but this watch is one of the best watches regarding battery life. So if there is one watch to use this features it's this one
Is there a way to use it when the screen goes off? It always stops working when I lock the screen and I'd like to use it that way so I can save battery
You mean the phone screen right ? I tried doing it as well but it doesn't really work properly, even after I put it to never close and deactivated the battery saver, maybe in a future update
I have the same issue you need to keep you phone on so if you navigate for 30 min your phone has an empty battery so its better to you use your phone for navigation instead
Are we able to install other apps like Calculator and such?
Unfortunately no, there is no app galery in this version. I heard they were beta testing it but it neve came out, if you want one that has it, you'll need to get the gt3

It certainly will, there are some other features being tested by beta testers in China

That's weird, maybe it's not available in your country
I would either search if it's available in my country or try using a VPN to check if it's a region problem

Hello, in Europe /Serbia, i was able to download Petal maps.
Is petals available in your region ?
Yes, it works in Brazil
My watch still keeps a QR code and promt to install Petal maps, although I have the app on my phone and HMS core
What is your phone?
Maybe try disconnecting and forgetting about your phone, and then reconnect it to see irlf something changes, also reinstall Huawei health after you've installed the HMS core, maybe try installing the Huawei health from mi picks if you have an Android phone. There's no reason to not work if you don't have an iPhone or a Huawei phone, só just do it all over again, giving all the necessary permissions
@@gustavoreview I managed to get it to work! I updated HMS core, restarted watch, deleted/installed Petal few times and somehow it just worked. I think it was due to HMS core not connecting properly
@@daveyplinth great, yeah sometimes it doesn't work properly if you installed after you're already logged in, so the best way is install it and then log in

Hi, download it from app gallery.
The Google store is outdated when talking about Huawei you need to download appgallery from Huawei's website (link in the description)

na ultima vez eu testei isso perdia a conexão quando desligava a tela, acho que no proprio mapa tipo waze e google maps, quando voce deslgia a tela ele meio que pausa o app, quando abre a tela de novo, da ate uma atualizada, ai essa pausa faz com que no relogio para também, ai eu sempre deixava a tela ligada

@@Deeeh87 o problema é a bateria, poucos tem bateria boa, maps só os da samsumg, e ticwatch, huawei que criou o dela ja que nao pode assinar com o google, nao sei se os da amazfit tem, seria a ultimaopção

I heard they are releasing an update to allow that, I'm just not sure if it's going to work only if you have to have a Huawei smartphone

@@ebon_scar519 the update for Gt2 was out for a couple of weeks before I received it, just keep updating Huawei health and check daily if there's an update for your watch, it will eventually appear

They just released a list of counties petal maps supports, it's quite a big list, they are aiming to increase it even more

Have you tried to run the outdoor walking features or any outdoor activities for a couple miles and then place the watch on your table but do not ending the exercise see if the calories keep counting for the next day?? I tried honor gs pro and stay overnight at the mountains and the calories keep counting until 9000+ calorie and also place on my table for one night and the calorie goes to 3000+ without moving 🤣🤣 please test this gt2 pro see if the calories keep counting by staying on the table but don't ending the exercise. Please let me know what happens.

Maybe they didn't think you'd do something like that, it shouldn't happen though
That’s not inaccurate…. It’s based on your metabolic rate. It’s using information like height, weight and age to predict your calorie expenditure. You burn calories without moving.

if you installed it after you had already set everything up, you need to log off and log in again for the hms core to start working
