  • Hi. I'm Jessica Chilll aka Pink. Welcome to my channel.
Today's video is about the time I got R.M.S.F. or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and the symptoms and causes that you need look out for, even if you haven't found a tick attached to your body. R.M.S.F. is a horrible and painful disease transmitted through wood ticks.
My goal in making this video is to help anyone else that may have the disease, know what to look for by knowing the symptoms, and to be able to get diagnosed in time. R.M.S.F can be life threatening.
If you think that you may have R.M.S.F. then please see a doctor immediately.

I survived 3 months! I’m just receiving treatment in Texas. Over 49 er visits later, and 2 psychiatrists referrals- I finally got treatment .I never traveled to even get it or went camping . No dogs , just a garden. I never got the FEVER or the rash . Just a blaring load of pressure in my head , muscle weakness, pain , I lost my balance in my legs , and I severe air hunger & racing heart rate. You are the first person that I have come across that has had it longer than a month.I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago and put on a picc line for two weeks . I’m still feeling very bad and the er prescribed a new dose of capsules last night . It gives me hope to keep fighting because I feel terrible. Thank you for your story ❤. I will keep fighting .

Oh, my God. (And i dont say that.) I'm truly outraged for you. Im laying in bed with my wife, started RMSF doxy treatment yesterday( day five of symptoms) most same as yours with no spots. But finally got some tonight!(day 6 ) feeling mucho better, they should have started you on doxy in the first place as a precaution, but decided to explode your life. You probably could sue still! DESPICABLE. Just realizing how BLESSED I HAVE BEEN and finding out that this is nothing to mess with, Thanks for your story.Lee, Etowah, TN.

I was just diagnosed 2 days ago with RMSF. I was actually bitten 15 days prior to dx. I had fallen off a ladder and fractured my elbow the day after my bites. So the fall and medications I was on for that basically masked symptoms. It wasn’t until roughly 10 days post fall I started feeling worse. At day 14 post bite I developed a rash and my nausea was awful. My dr decided not to worry about waiting for blood tests and started me on the antibiotics. Starting day 3 and hoping to feel better soon. Joint pain and nausea are still pretty bad.

The Lonestar tick transmits the disease that makes you allergic to red meat. A little over a year ago I got a tick on me and sent it to a lab and it tested positive for Rocky Mountain spotted fever. My bloodwork showed that my body had recently had it. I can’t remember whether I pushed for anabiotic‘s before diagnosis or I did not. I’m still not 100% sure my body took care of it all even if I did. Obviously I’m still alive over a year later but I think there’s a lot more research that needs to be done on these tickborne diseases.

I will be going to the clinic tomorrow to see sbout getting tested and/or starting treatment for RMSF. I got bit by a tick a few days ago. Today started feeling muscle aches and headache then tonight spiked a fever. My brother had RMSF years ago. He was really bad off before they figured out what was wrong with him because he didn't even remember a tick biting him. He still suffers some problems 20 years later. I pray the doctor is willing to treat me until the test results come back because I don't want to mess around with RMSF.

I completely understand that feeling too. Its been over 3 years since I had it and I still have issues as well. And the symptoms can stay with you for the rest of your life. Especially the joint pain and stomach problems. To this day, I still get itchy, like being bit all over my body by fire ants when I get too hot and sweaty. That's the worst part to me because I'm an out doors person. Stay strong cuz we are survivors. Some people can't say that... even with the after effects.... we are still alive.😉

Healthcare in this country is really faltering since I was a young woman. My brother became deathly ill several weeks ago and went to ER (twice). They put him on heart monitor. I made him go to another doc who told him he was having severe panic attacks and put him on XANAX! He was still sick. I insisted he go back and test for Lyme disease as he lives on 240 acres in the Ozark Mountains and ticks are everywhere. Just got a call from him ( Sunday night) and he just got a call from his doctor. He has RMSF and Ehrlichiosis. We have too many healthcare people who are subpar. And too many nurse practitioners.

I know a guy that suffered through this stuff. He says that what he believes works best is to live a low carb keto diet lifestyle and exercise regularly. Low to no carbs, no sugars or starches and no sweets or soft drinks etc. In other words, don’t feed bad bacteria. Sugar feeds bad bacteria. Starches and carbs are sugar. You have to keep your immune system healthy. Exercise and eating right strengthens your immune system along with maintaining good gut health. A strong healthy body with a strong immune system fights off the attacks of the bad bacteria such as bacteria from ticks. Look into what builds a strong immune system. There are a number of foods that specifically build up the immune system. Probiotics can build a strong healthy immune system, but probiotics need a good gut environment to thrive properly. What I’ve read is that low carb diets starve bad bacteria like candida. They recommend staying on a low carb no sugar ketogenic diet for weeks before introducing probiotics to your diet. Kefir, kombucha and fermented foods like kimchi are good sources of probiotics as well as yogurt. A few gulps of kefir or kombucha per day can really boost your gut bacteria and strengthen your gut health that in turn strengthens your immune system and keeps you from becoming ill. Check into Teasel Root Tincture to treat Lyme and tick diseases. The Herbal Jedi has a video on Teasel. The protocol I know of is to take 3-5 drops, 3 times a day for 3 months. People use it with or without antibiotics.
