One of my favorite Starscream/seeker designs ever used. So glad I grabbed him right away. The right arm on mine doesn't have quite the correct clearance at the bicep swivel and it tries to spin out at the Mushroom peg anytime you try to turn it. 😆 -- Oh well. Everything stays together well enough so I am happy with him. 😁
It's hard to tell the exact reason why the shoulder guns remove, but they way they did it does allow you to do the final crossed swords pose from his Cyber Key activation stock footage in the anime by plugging one into the forearm. It could also be to allow alternate configurations for future repaints, like for example the Universe Dirge to have a more G1-esque configuration by plugging them into the ports on the legs. Also, I don't know if you've seen by now, but there's also dedicated storage for the gun under the jet to be more similar to the original toy. You have to plug it in before closing the leg filler panels and it kinda fills in the gap they normally leave.
The Galaxy Force Starscream was actually the first Transformer I ever imported. That thing was great. I wonder if they'll do the standard thing and make Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstorm, etc... with this. They did a lot of them in the old Legends of Cybertron line, so there's kinda precedent for them to exist. Sunstorm even had hidden blasters instead of blades.
I think you're talking about the Supreme Class Starscream where his Cyber Key deploys one gun and one sword. There was also a Voyager version (which, correct me if I'm wrong, is an exclusive) where his Cyber Key deploys both blades...
You are correct. In the US, a Ramjet-colored voyager Starscream was a Toys R Us Exclusive sold with Vector Prime. He had two swords that deployed when you put the key in his back slot. His "belly guns" also did not move. He also came with a gun, I'm not sure if the Supreme one did or not.
In the show they would often cheat the position of Starscream's blades by making them lower on his arms to stick out more. Making the piece removable means you can stick it on his forearms to recreate that.
I got Cybertron Starscream today at my local target I'm very impressed with it
This is the most awesome (non MP) Starscream figure from Hasbro ever for me
This is the best of the run so far.

Yeah, I have been lucky that my pegs seem to be okay so far.

Oh cool, I’ll give it a try.
I tried it and it worked! Thanks for the tip!
Seeing this makes me hope Konami teams up with Hasbro next year for a 40th anniversary _Gradius_ collab.

That sounds right. I didn’t have either back in the day so I wasn’t sure.

Oh, thanks for the info!
If you pop the fins and wing bits off, he'd make a good base for any number of Autobot Pretenders!
I wonder if Coronation Starscream’s crown fits him :3
I was watching a review from that toy guy and somebody commented that it doesn’t
Since Hasbro is going plastic-free with their packaging, they're separating anything that might get bumped and fall out.
Ah yes, the closest we have to cosmic powered Starscream on television.
Hasbro toys have been looking a little better lately.
