The Polish fire brigade is very well trained. They helped during fires in Greece and also in Sweden, there are also videos on RUclips. Firefighters not only put out fires, they are called "Rescue and fire-fighting units", they help during traffic accidents, they are trained in medical Rescue. They help during avalanches, floods, storms and carbon monoxide poisoning

Polish Fire Department has combat vehicles for:
D - ladder (the number determines the length in meters)
H - hydraulic lift (the number indicates the length in meters)
    Rd - road rescue.
    Rt - technical rescue.
    Rchem - chemical rescue.
Dz - crane (the number indicates the lifting capacity in tons)
    Dł - command and communication.
    SP - field hospital

Before this shortcuts we have other letters
For e.g. most common "engine" in Poland its GBA or gcba
G have cara, trucks with fire fighting equipment
B is tank with water and A is pomp powered by car engine.
      Also we had L, C shortcuts L - light ( up to 7.5 tons) C - heavy ( +14 tons) Medium is without shortcuts.
When truck don't have firefighting equipment its S like specialistic
SLRt it's for fast response for car accidents. All firefighters arrived on light truck and one of them is driver of medium truck with more equipment and water.

Yeah, our police is mostly bullies that are looking for a way to bully people, useless when actually needed (eg during a robbery).
Our health system almost doesn't exist, its free, but you have to wait years for any kind of specialized doctor and ambulances take 4+ hours to get to a dying patient.
But firefighters are working amazing, if you call for them, they are in max 3 minutes regardless of location, they always help people and put whole heart to what they do.
We also have OSP (Ochotnicza straż pożarna) which is pretty much civilians that are trained to use firefighting equipment and are ready to be called in case of emergency, as well as can help if fire/danger starts around them.

Hi. You don't have to worry about the lack of fire engines in Poland , these are specialist units for fighting with natural disasters like large fires, floats, earthquakes.
They are completely self sufficient and don't need outside supplies.
Poland has a very well equipped and large fire service , have been looked after from the aftermath of great floods in 1997 in Poland that exposed significant floors and underinvestment Polish rescue services.
As an effect we have now very modern and well trained force which can be used to help our neighbours when needed

Polish firefighters helped also in the other countries in such catastrophes as earthquakes. For instance, in February 2023 after the huge earthquake in Turkey. So not only within the EU. The special unit, consisting of 76 firefighters, went there, with equipment and 8 trained rescue dogs. They were accompanied by 11 mine rescuers as well as by humanitarian and medical aid staff. They managed to rescue people trapped under the rubble, including children. They helped also in Lebanon (2020), and in other abroad missions.

Poland has the largest number of special units to extinguish forest fires. Poles learned to extinguish forest fires perfectly after the tragic forest fire in the '90s in Kuźnia Raciborska. These modules usually consist of several dozen specialized vehicles with all the equipment needed for several weeks of action. they have tents, toilets/showers, kitchens, food, water, literally everything. They are independent and well-equipped. took part in extinguishing forest fires in Greece, Sweden, Russia and France. Poland is able to send the largest contingent specialized in extinguishing this type of fires to every corner of Europe.

That was one of few convoys that went to Greece (this particular one from Warsaw). All cargo trucks went with about 2weeks of all of suply for them. Also in Poland we have "National fire departament" (like in movie), and "volonteer fire departament" (that stayed in country), so we was good. Greetings from Poland

And in the last video you saw a small white car with only one yellow strap on it. It was Gas Emergency Vehicle. Love your content, and sorry for bad english

EU countries established an international civil protection mechanism as response to the increasing threat wild fires and other catastrophes and Poland takes part in this initiative. Poland provides 6 GFFFV's (Ground Forest Fire Fighting Utility Vehicles) moduls. Each modul comes from a different administrative province. There are also 4 nuclear / chemical response moduls. The size (how many vehicles) does not have an upwards limit and contains at least 4 Fire Fighting trucks, a tanker, tech and equipment vehicles, command vehicle and a lazaret unit. Each modul is equipped and supplied with enough stuff so its 100% self-sufficient (this includes water and food) for the requested by the hosting country time (I believe its usually 2 weeks that can be extended by request of the host) - essentially its a village on wheels.

When they came to Sweden (they couldn't stop the wood fire for months), they needed only flat terrain and water. Everything else they have done by themselves, they came they stopped the fire in they zone in 2 weeks and come back home. Some of they equipment was never seen before in Sweden. They are top. I'm very proud of them.

Polish firemen are the best ❤! Our guys are sent everywhere they are needed. They put out fires in Greece, Sweden and Turkey. They helped Italian and German during floods and Turks after the earthquake. There are also great special fire squads like the one in my home town Nowy Sącz the special search and rescue dog fire department/squad . You cannot forget about incredible volunteer firemen from OSP departments in the great number of Polish villages. they provide professional help for locals as well.

Straż Pożarna means fire department, word STRAŻ on vehicle is just shortened version of it. But we have other types of straż for example Straż Miejska, they are like police but worse, they dont have a guns and their main role is to make sure that vehicles are parked right or to patrol a parks to look for peopla that are publicly drinking.

GFFFV - DEFENDERS OF THE FORESTS
This is an English abbreviation for Ground Forest Fire Fighting using Vehicles. To put it simply, we are talking about extinguishing forest fires using ground vehicles. Our country has six such modules, which are stationed in the cities: Poznań, Kraków, Białystok, Olsztyn, Wrocław and Szczecin. Three of them are in permanent use. This means that after receiving an order, they are immediately ready to help outside our country. Each unit can cope with a crisis situation on its own. It has professional equipment, which, apart from basic fire extinguishing equipment, includes, among others: from: field kitchens, tents, communication systems and, above all, high-performance sets for forest fires.

    Straż = guard
Straż pożarna = fire guard (it is not direct translation, cause pożar is when a building or forest is on fire).
Until 1935 it was straż ogniowa (fire guard - this time it is translated directly).

In Poland there is also something called "OSP" (volunteer fire brigade). These are not professional firefighters, but they are like reserve soldiers. They are normal people, working like everyone else, but at the sound of a fire brigade siren, they run to the fire station to leave. The vehicles are provided by "PSP" (state fire brigade, professional fire brigade), but people from the Volunteer Fire Department also go there.

Polish rescue services, but especially the Fire Brigade, have always participated in rescue operations in Europe and around the world. Our firefighters not only put out fires but also save people from the rubble after earthquakes.
As for the numbers on the vehicles, they indicate the numbers of the fire brigade units as well as the region they come from.
In 2023, 150 years of the Fire Department in the city of Krakow were celebrated. On my YT channel you can watch a parade of historic and modern vehicles.

    Hi ,
I'm a pol living in Greece and me and my family were in one of the islands during the wildfires of 2022. We were lucky that the closest the fire came to us was kilometers outside of the town. The people here are very grateful for the help from all the countries that helped greece (again) with the fire.
The last day before the firefighters left for their next destination me and my mom brought some local wine for them to thank for their efforts.
I will never forget how happy they were... also the comment
Tylko tyle ? That will not last for an hour 😂
For a county known to have to deal with fires every year, greece doesn't care about the forests or the people. Like making fire zones to isolate the fire before spreading. Or another example here the firefighters are a joke. The government doesn't fund them. on the contrary, they fired a big number of them after that year. (It wouldn't surprise me if they hope to rely on the support of other countries instead of doing anything themselfs. ) we had actual footage shown on tv of civilians trying to put out fires with sticks and clothes.
My family immigrated here for a better future for me and my siblings, but the only thing i would like is to go back to the homeland...

Operational numbers perform a similar task to registration numbers on cars and are aimed at improving the management and conduct of rescue operations at the intervention and tactical level, by providing participants of these activities with important information about the affiliation of a vehicle (vessel) to a fire protection unit, its type and radio criterion.

In Poland we have the national fire department and volunteers which are allways present.
In my city there is a PSP (national) and OSP volunteers (and there are only OSP around the city in smaller suburbs or in the countryside) and we as OSP allways get deployed or called in if something is happening in my city ^^ you get a phone call and alert from the app and you have only 3/5 mins to go to the Department gear up and move ^^

such actions are usually part of a EU crisis management/mission (so called 'pre positioning projects') which coordinate the support from different European countries (also Germany and some other countries were in Greece and elsewhere). they also implement more and more (due to for instance the known and expected yearly fires in some hotspot regions of Europe) special assistance hubs for fast support (there is also a raising air support hosted in different neuralgic spots in Europe) ...
