    Loved this. Been struggling with defining unequal columns in Indesign for a quad-fold. Columns do not allow that to do (I think) on a single large page. Multiple Master (Parent) pages does the trick. Thanks a lot.

    Hi, thanks for this tutorial, how it will looks like if you do a Print Booklet for the Menu?

    • @CreativityGarage
      @CreativityGarage  3 года назад

      I think following fhe same concept explained in this video you can very easily make a booklet as well, and I'm sure it will look equally good. Thanks for the appreciation!

      I tried it but getting: "The active document uses multiple page sizes Print Booklet works only with documents that use a consistent page size."

    • @CreativityGarage
      @CreativityGarage  3 года назад

      Actually cuz it's a booklet, it's only logical to have same size all through, that's why.

      OK, no problem ( I could not find any solution to do it in anyway ). But how can you automatically give each item a number so when add or delete any of them then it stays in the correct numbering range..

      With your cursor active at the location, head to the burger menu which is located at the top right corner of the options toolbar on top. You will find the option of 'bullets and numbering' there.

      Thanks for the question! Use the underscore key, i think that’s what you’re looking for.

    I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for the help.
    However I have a question. Say I made the setup for a quadfold and the printer sends me these specs : (X/X/X-3/X-2). So I made this brochure. And it came out fine. But a another printer wants to print the same but they use X/X/X-3/X-4, as their folding machine is different.
    How can I cange the width of the master (parent) pages on screen, so I don't have to make a whole new document, but can just re-aligne some margins? Thanks for your answers.

      You can do that using the page tool on the Tools panel and then select the master page you want to resize in the layout. The resize handles will appear around the edge of the page, so now you can specify the X and Y values to set the position of the page in relation to other pages in the spread and then specify the width and height for the selected page.

      @@CreativityGarage That is what I thought, but the size box doesn't appear like it did when setting up the document in the beginning. But the dimensions box isn't showing after the page is setup. Sorry can't send you screenschot

    Why in the world would you not use 3 columns per side of paper but instead make pages the size of columns? I just wanted to see your video and how you approached the subject. Everyone else just format the page for 3 columns and don't even bother with this goofy lesson especially people who are in the USA since using the metric system for paper is stupid.

      That’s another way of designing it. In one of my videos i did use that method. Thanks for watching and the feedback!
