This channel has been created primarily for people who are either aspirants, or new to graphic designing, or are still in early stages of learning the skill set. I’ve planned to tutor the major software from the Adobe Suite, completing which you can deem yourself a graphic designer, although without a certificate 🙁.
I’ll try to keep my language and procedures as simple as possible, however, if you ever face difficulty comprehending a particular concept, please feel free to drop in a message.
Happy learning and wish you all the best!

This is great for formula all by themselves. How do I make a style for when the formulas are in text?
Thanks for the question. You can try doing the following: If you want to style chemical formulae in Adobe InDesign using a GREP style, you need a GREP pattern that matches chemical formulas in your text and then applies a specific character style to them. Step 1: Create a Character Style for Chemical Formulae 1. Open Character Styles (Window > Styles > Character Styles). 2. Click the New Character Style button. 3. Name it something like Chemical Formula. 4. Adjust the style settings, such as: • Subscript for numbers (H₂O → H₂) • Italics or specific font if needed 5. Click OK to save. Step 2: Create a GREP Style in Paragraph Styles 1. Open Paragraph Styles (Window > Styles > Paragraph Styles). 2. Edit an existing paragraph style or create a new one. 3. In the Paragraph Style Options, go to GREP Style. 4. Click New GREP Style. 5. Choose the Chemical Formula character style you created. 6. In the GREP Pattern field, enter the regex to match chemical formulas. Step 3: Enter the GREP Expression Use one of these GREP expressions depending on your needs: Basic Formula Matching (e.g., H₂O, CO₂, C₆H₁₂O₆) [A-Z][a-z]?\d* • [A-Z] → Matches an uppercase letter (element symbol). • [a-z]? → Matches an optional lowercase letter (for elements like Fe, Cl). • \d* → Matches any number after the element. More Advanced Matching (for complex formulas) (?:[A-Z][a-z]?\d*)+ This ensures that formulas with multiple elements like C₆H₁₂O₆ are fully matched. Matching with Parentheses for Ions or Groups (e.g., (NH₄)₂SO₄) (?:\(?[A-Z][a-z]?\d*\)?)+ This accounts for grouped elements inside parentheses. Step 4: Apply and Test 1. Click OK to save your Paragraph Style. 2. Apply the Paragraph Style to your text. 3. Test it by typing different chemical formulas. This should automatically style chemical formulas in your text without needing to format them manually. Hope that does the job!!

What you copied it wasn't aligned evenly on both sides - you lost that in your paste and copy, how do you make it align even on the spine?
Thank you for the question. Try doing the following: Select the text frame, then go to Object > Text Frame Options (Ctrl+B or Cmd+B). Under vertical justification, select justify to distribute the text evenly within the frame. Adjust the inset spacing if needed for consistent padding. Highlight the text in your document and open the Paragraph Panel (Window > Type & Tables > Paragraph). Use alignment options such as Justify Left, Right, or Centered, depending on your design requirements. Avoid full justification if it leads to uneven spacing near the spine. It should do the job!
@@CreativityGarage Thank you for trying, it did not work.....

Great video! My every other row fill setting has no effect. Why could this be?
Thanks a lot for the question. There could be a few reasons for this: 1. Table Formatting Not Applied • Ensure you have selected a table and are actively applying the fill to it. If the table is not selected, changes won’t take effect. Solution: Use the Type Tool (T) to click inside the table, then go to Table > Table Options > Alternating Fills. 2. Alternating Fills Turned Off • The “Alternating Row Fills” option might not be enabled. Solution: In the Table Options dialog box, ensure the “Alternating Fills” option is set to “Every Other Row” under the Alternating Pattern dropdown. Then assign colors for Fill 1 and Fill 2. 3. Table Overrides • If you manually applied fills to certain rows or cells, they can override the alternating fill settings. Solution: 1. Select the entire table. 2. Right-click and choose Clear Overrides (or go to Table > Clear Overrides). 3. Reapply the “Every Other Row” setting. 4. Custom Table Styles • If you’re using a table style that doesn’t include alternating rows or has a conflicting setting, it might prevent your changes from showing. Solution: Check the applied table style under Window > Styles > Table Styles. Edit the style to include alternating rows, or remove the style and reapply the fill manually. 5. Table Content Overrides • If your table cells are filled with images or text with background fills, these can cover or hide the alternating fill effect. Solution: Remove any background fills or adjust content settings so the table’s row fills are visible. 6. Preview Mode • If you’re in Preview Mode, subtle alternating fills might not be apparent. Solution: Switch to Normal Mode (press W when not in text-edit mode) to better see the fill Hope one of the above-mentioned reasons solves your issue!

do they only support videos with an MP4 format?
It does support swf and flv as well, but flash is not supported by most of the browsers these days so i dont know how much it will be of help to you.
Paid for the course. But it's pretty annoying you don't include the photos in the resources.
As far as i remember everything was there in the resources, but thanks for the feedback. I will check it myself. 👍🏻
The first method worked best for me. But thank you so much for sharing this video

how to make those boxes in to guides after creating them ?
No, the Gridify feature in Adobe InDesign doesn’t directly allow you to turn the created boxes into guides. However, you can manually convert the boxes into guides after using Gridify by following these steps: Steps to Convert Boxes to Guides: 1. Use Gridify to Create Boxes: • Drag with a tool like the Rectangle Tool while holding down the Arrow keys to create multiple boxes in a grid. 2. Select the Boxes: • Use the Selection Tool (V) to select all the boxes you want to turn into guides. 3. Convert Boxes to Guides: • Go to View > Grids & Guides > Make Guides (or right-click the selected boxes and choose Make Guides). Alternatively, use the shortcut Ctrl+5 (Windows) or Cmd+5 (Mac). Hope that answers the question!

How can I make the height of a single row smaller?
Thanks for the question. Here’s how to do it: Steps: 1. Select the Row: • Use the Type Tool (T) to click inside the row you want to resize. • Alternatively, hover your cursor over the table, and use the arrow to select the entire row. 2. Open the Table Options Panel: • Go to the menu bar and click Table > Cell Options > Rows and Columns. • Alternatively, right-click the row and select Cell Options > Rows and Columns from the context menu. 3. Adjust the Row Height: • In the Minimum Row Height field, enter the desired height. • If you want the row height to be fixed, uncheck At Least to lock the value. 4. Manually Drag the Row (Optional): • Hover over the boundary line of the row you want to resize (you’ll see a double-headed arrow). • Click and drag the row boundary up or down to manually adjust its height. Let me know if you’d like help with anything else!
