I felt he was actually getting over as a character early in the invasion when he got given the us title, he seemed to get a reaction. But he was tethered to DDP as the least important part of that tandem and when the most important part of something is banished from relevancy, it says it all about what happened to Kanyon.

I loved Kanyon as a kid, especially his catchphrase, and the older I get my appreciation for him grows. He was an impressive yet a solid worker, never doing anything that might seriously injure another wrestler just to get himself over. Like you said, he had a really varied move-set. He was also the most badass and positive role model I had for my speech impediment, even though I hated how often he got picked on for it. Always felt bad for Crowbar. Had WCW not released him in January 2001, he'd have been picked up and at least had a chance.

He really was the Invasion MVP. He put on good matches and had an entertaining character for the Alliance side.
He deserved betta, too bad he got injured during the invasion and it really messed up his momentum.

Kanyon was damn fun to watch in the ring. I loved how he'd do different stuff or modify an old school move to make it fresh. Definitely one of the underrated talents of the Monday Night Wars

shame what happened to him and a supremely underrated worker

Kanyon was always underused and he had the worst luck. His big break was supposed to come as Mortis, just as the NWO angle started. He got a push later as the Innovator of Offense but then became second fiddle in a stupid Raven storyline. He just couldn't catch a break.

Kanyon's offense was cool and unique, that's something that they can never take away from his legacy.

side note. note the time he was in the WWF, 2001. everybody he matched up with had a unique and memorable look, move set, character and their own charisma that is pretty much completely unmatched and unseen today. I miss 1999 to 2001

Kanyon was one of my favorites. He was incredibly talented, and his matches were pretty enjoyable.
Id love to see a ring of the hawk with Rob Conway, with his narcissistic gimmick I think he was calling himself "The Conman" or something lame, it was after tag teaming with Sylvain Grenier (La Resistance).
