My largest hook was a Jenkins 32 mm Tunisian crochet hook. We were making stash afghans with 3 to 4 strands of yarn. It was one heavy, warm afghan!
The smallest hook I have ever used is a 4.25 mm with a #3 yarn and the biggest i have ever used is a 10 mm with a bulky #7 yarn. I own some really big hooks but haven't actually used them to crochet anything yet. Maybe one day when, if i find a really big yarn or just the right project for them, i will give them a try. This was a fun little video! Good for the curiosity.
I’ve used a U hook. I think it’s 25mm. That was a workout!!
It sure is! 🌸
The largest hook I've used so far is 5 mm, but I keep planning to use larger sizes some day. The smallest was 1.5 mm. As for aching fingers, I try to use different methods of keeping up the tension for different yarns. If the yarn is very thin and slippery I give it an extra turn around my little finger.
I have a 25mm hook and have all sizes of hook down to 0.5mm I think. I had to have a whole range of sizes for a crochet course I did. I have used very small hooks for Irish crochet lace but never made anything other than a sample with the largest hook. I have seen Julie from Juey Jumbo on 'Yarn Lane' (Sewing Street - UK TV channel) with her enormous hooks and needles but my house isn't big enough for huge crochet pieces. Fun though!
My largest hook to have ever used is an "N". That's a Furls hook. My smallest hook to ever use is a 3mm. That's a clover armour . Different tools for different fibers .
Absolutely! 🌸

I have a really big one that I’ve used a couple of times. I think it may be a 25 mm. Not sure though. I’ll have to look.😊
My hooks range ftom 2mm up to a P/Q. I have used the P/Q for a super chunky blanket. The smallest I have used is 3.5mm.
My biggest hook is a 25mm plastic hook. I've never used it but had never seen a hook SO HUGE so I bought it haha! I have bamboo hooks, plastic hooks, ergonomic hooks and aluminum hooks. I think the biggest one I've used was a 10mm. Have a fantastic weekend Rebekah!!
My biggest is the same …a 25 mm I think it’s a Q
It definitely gives your arms a workout 😊
I also get little finger pain when using thinner yarn. The only thing I’ve found that helps is stretching out the finger at regular intervals and using the ring finger to hold the yarn to give the other one a rest. The biggest hook I’ve used is 10mm and the smallest was 3mm - both of which hurt my hands so I usually stick to 4.5 to 7mm hooks x
Biggest I've used 12 (good arm workout), got a 15 but not in a rush to use it ❤😂
Good arm workout indeed! 😅
I have a 25 mm I worked on a jean rug with. Hand pain stopped that project before it was very big 😢
I've used a10mm didn't enjoy the process if I'm honest, usually stop at 6mm.
Same here!
Biggest was a 10mm, smallest was a 3.25mm. I always massage my hands for a little bit every once in a while and stretch them out.
My biggest is a 25mm the same as yours
The biggest crochet hook that I have is also 25 mm. I tried to use it to crochet a throw but it was a bit awkward for me to use because I have arthritis in my hands. My normal size is a 5.5 or 6 mm most of the time. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I have a 15mm that I've used plenty of times. 😊 The smallest, I am pretty sure it was 1.25mm. The last time I used it, I was decorating with a lace border, some baby soft blankets.
20mm. I bought it because my husband brought home two skeins of fluffy giant gauge yarn. I didn't known what else to do.
What did you make with it? 🌸
@@BlossomCrochet A fluffy pillow. But it is still a WIP.
I haven't used it yet, but I have a 15mm which I will use to make some bath rugs. The smallest I've used so far is 4mm.
My largest hook is a susan bates Q/16mm hook. The largest hook I've used is a L/8.0mm hook. I prefer the smaller hook sizes. I enjoyed seeing that monster of a hook.
I think i have one close to this. Lol.
My largest hook was an N hook that I used it was a boye, and the smallest was a 3mm also a boye
Dear lord, that's one large hook! The largest size I ever used was a 10 mm one , and that already was very uncomfortable to work with (I have MS and my hands suffer not as much while crocheting, but afterwards it's hell. More so when I use a very small hook or a very large one).
The I used is a 15mm to make a blanket using three 4 weight yarns at the same time
My largest hook is US P 16 11.5 mm and I made a blanket with chunky yarn for my daughter. My smallest hook is size D 3.125 mm.
The largest hook I’ve ever used is a 25 mm. I hated it! It definitely caused hand pain. The smallest hook I own and have used is a .65 mm hook. I definitely do better with smaller hooks than with large ones.
My biggest hook is a Boye size 15.75. I made a blanket with this one. The smallest I have used is a 3.5. My favorite is a 5.5. I would love to do the finer work that requires the small hooks. I am too clumsy when using them. Makes me tense and frustrated. I crochet for relaxation so I gave up the small hooks. What would you make with that large of a hook? ☮️🌎🌲
30 mm is mine. Just recently bought it. Hardly use it.
largest hook I have used is an N. The smallest I use is .50 mm
I have a P hook that I made a shawl with. Not sure of the mm size though
I've used a 25mm hook I couldn't get on with it ,it hurt my hand I gave it away to a friend my favourite hook is 6mm & aran to chunky weight yarn
10mm for the largest and 2 1/2mm for the smallest I've used.
I have a 15mm but haven’t used it yet
I hope you have fun when you do! 🌸
can you show us some crochet that you used it?
Maybe even ma,ing a rug lol!
My largest hook I have actually used is a T-30mm
Woah! 😅🌸
❤❤❤❤❤❤
The smallest I have ever used would be a 3mm and the largest was a 20 mm
I don't think I would enjoy using a hook that large, 8mm is the largest I've used lol. I take 2 magnesium capsules before bed and I wear a thumb ring (splint) on my left thumb to prevent hyperextending my knuckle. The magnesium work!! Some may need to take more than 2
My largest is a 25.00 mm and the one I use the most is a 3. 25 mm.
Excellent! I don’t think I’ve used one that size - 3.5 and 3 but not in between! ☺️🌸
@@BlossomCrochet It's a D size. My hook is old, worn and hard to read. ; -)
Oh wow. Never seen one that big. 😳
I have a Q but couldn't use it. And it's plastic.
It is rather chunky! 🌸
I have 30cm
Do you mean 30mm?
Is it a Juey Jumbo hook ? x
Knit pro by looks of it
Mine is 12 😊 i am from algeria
Hi to Algeria! 🌸
My largest hook is 15.75. I never use it. It's too bulky for me to use.
My largest hook is a " US S" . Not sure what it would be in mm.
I think that’s somewhere around a 20mm! 🌸
US N 10
Nice! 🌸
Biggest is 30mm
I bet the kitten doesn’t chew this one!
