As I watch some 40 or 50 somethings talk about lines and wrinkles, crepey eyelids, lip lines etc. I say to myself - you have no clue what you are talking about until you get into your mid sixties and see first hand the results of aging. I find myself wanting more and more lately to find “more mature” ladies that I can relate to, so that my crepe and wrinkles look more normal for someone 71. Thank you for being there for us and for showing us that a love of makeup doesn’t have an age limit. 🌸🌿

You are wise to be looking ahead. Take care of your health and you will age well.
Serene.....I definitely can relate. Some of the current make up styles are just far too much make up. Maybe for stage artists that need to have overpowering makeup, but these glamour magazines leave us looking like clowns at any age. And yes, I'm not 72, but your skin will keep changing. The very best thing for your skin is staying hydrated, I have one of those super tall insulated cups with a straw and top from Starbucks. I pack it with ice and fill it with water. All that ice keeps it nice and cold. I drink that much water twice a day. Stay a good average weight too. Guys are getting the message that curves are nice. I lost quite a bit of weight during a difficult time of my life. I lost 50 lbs and looked 20 years older. I've gained part of that back, and my skin looks much younger. And I'm sure you use spf out in the sun. In high school we did anything to get tanned to the point of even getting sunburned. They have determined that it takes 25 years for skin cancer to show up, so take care of your beautiful young skin!

Obviously I've done it down over the years. I'm down to hardly nothing because I feel like people think I'm trying to get my youth back, but that's not the case. I feel like I'm at my best these days and I just want to look put together. Also, I feel like certain products just emphasize the skin under my eyes. I am going to start watching all your videos as I feel or know I can learn a lot from you.

Sherry Linzer So do I Sherry. I’m 72, and I wear it all. I have so many eyeshadow palettes it’s starting to become a cosmetics store. I live in a very small rural town in eastern WA state. Moved here in 2010 and there’s 1 salon selling bareMinerals, and of course Wal-Mart, Walgreens and Rite Aid. In the 8 yrs my hubby and I have been here stores like ROSS, famous footwear, Marshall’s have moved in. I said now all we need is Ulta or Sephora!!! When I found out Ulta is coming, you can imagine my grin!!!! I even called my daughter who I had visited and had gone to Ulta, and told her about the store. So now when I see the sign ‘Ulta, coming soon,’. I just get this huge grin on my face... they are having their own store built. Take care, going to get my haircut touched up! Take care,

Great, at last a demo on makeup and a true mature lady showing us how, false eye lashes as well. Good for you and i will wear makeup for good, im 67 now and ive no intentions of stopping. To many women simply just give up to soon and let themselves go. You have shown what can be achieved and didn't take hrs either. keep it up!

WOW. I just had to watch this two to three times. I don't wear make-up and my closest friends (the ones that tell you like it is), keep telling me to just "wear a little", just so I don't look so washed out now that my hair is salt and pepper. I've been fighting it, but after watching you - I really got a good grasp and understanding that it doesn't have to be that hard. I'm so glad I found this channel. Love the eyelash application tutorial because I've got quite the assortment of lashes that I've purchased and have had no luck putting them on. Well, maybe it's time to get back to the drawing board.

Forgot to suggest, if the back of your mirror bothers you, you may cut a circle out of black paper and glue on back of the mirror so it will not stand out.

I am 70 and still enjoy wearing makeup every day however I keep the foundation light and don't overdo the eye makeup or lipstick. My only can't f. I concern is my sparce and pale eyelashes which no longer hold mascara. I wore false eyelashes for special occasions when I was very young but remember how uncomfortable they felt. I can't imagine putting them on for every day wear! The eye sight isn't great either,
any suggestions for eye enhancement without wearing mascara?

I love your tips and watching you do the application as you narrate each step. I wish I could do the false lashes half as well as you do, because as I get older, the mascara irritates my eyes overnight, no matter how careful I am to remove it. Also, I, too love the lip colors you use, as in this video. I have even had dental cleaning done, wearing this, with no smearing! As always, I love your makeup and hair applications, and you always look so beautifully "finished" without looking "made up."

Thank you so much. Carolyn Hiscock have you used a 12 x magnifying mirror on a pedestal base? Makes a huge difference. As you can see I use a 10x one myself for close-up work.
Carolyn Hiscock.....I can't see close up either and I use the 10x magnifying mirror on the pedestal also but I also use a small hand held 12x mirror for really close up work. Works great for me. Bought them at Wal-Mart.

Wow. This is more foundation make-up than I wore at 20. And I cannot imagine wearing false eyelashes now.
Well Pam Yo - in our 20's we had different skin without the discolouration and other factors. And I have to tell you false lashes is soooooo much faster, easier and better than mascara - but it takes a little time to hone the skill.
Very nice tnk u. I'm having terrible time no matter what eye makeup I use even non allergic even, my eyes itch and get irritated I have lt blue hazel eyes. I've noticed liquid makeup feels a bit better but harder to achieve the look I've always used . If you have any suggestions I use eye drops helps a little

I started wearing makeup at 12🤭green eyeshadow green mascara spider lashes by maybeline I’m sure I thought I looked good LoL. After joining a church that frowned at makeup I didn’t wear any 😳Extreme!!!!! Now I cannot hardly see to apply the makeup. I need a makeup artist on the daily till I get the routine down. HAHA You make it look so easy. I’m sharing this one too 💝
