      Bright Sun Films, love your videos, but there is something about your voice and the way you deliver it that makes it even better, have you ever considered or previously done voice-over work? if not your should! I think you and This is Dan Bell are the top tier in urban exploration! Keep up the good work :)

    As you stated in the video, it's really cool to see an abandoned property that isn't destroyed due to scrappers and people, but instead is being decayed by nature. That's a rare sight.

      Mechanical Dreamer very rare, I know that some historians are interested in stuff like that, as it can give a glimpse into what a worst case scenario would look like for our modern world, as there's nothing more accurate then actually having time pass

      Honestly the only reason they're doing anything about the guy being there is because they could be legally liable if he hurt himself. They should just have him sign something saying he can't sue them if he hurts himself. I mean it's not like they're using the place. That again I don't think they want anybody discovering a dead body on the island at some point either.... that's not very Disney

    Despite nature taking over, this is probably one of the best preserved abandoned sites you'll ever see. Thanks to being an island, its naturally protected from vandals and the only people who go there have been very respectful to the now fragile structures. Its a refreshing sight for sure after exploring so many abandoned industrial sites that kids just trash.

    • @ScientificallyStupid
      @ScientificallyStupid 3 года назад +12

      I visited it when I was 7 in '84 and I can still remember what it was like. I love seeing these videos- it just reminds you how relentless nature really is, a few years without people and the trees are taking over, and it's relative inaccessibility keeps it preserved. Very different from abandoned malls or subway stations.

    You should've talked about the newly laid shrimp that they found in the building, I thought it was interesting because it means people have been on that island recently but there weren't any documented visits within that time.

    One of my favorite things about Portal 2 is the atmosphere. The overgrown worn down facilities are super immersive, and seeing something like that in real life is probably one of the coolest things ever!

    How sad that they haven't figuired out how to repurpose the island. This was one of my favorite things to do because it was never very crowded. Not many people knew it was there.

    Certainly a once in a lifetime experience. It is before my time but I can only hope to visit it someday. Thank you for the video Jake, it is incredible as always and thank you (Matthew Sonswa & Chris Carswell) for the amazing footage.

    Oh man somehow I'd missed this and good lord is it a gem. Too cool right here. I still remember visiting the place in the early 90's and it's a real trip to see it cordoned off, forgotten and left to the elements to decay with time and weather immemorial.

    Jake, this video was so good. I had seen MattSonswa's video before this and I was wondering what the buildings and pathways were, so your narration was really interesting.
    Would it be possible for you to make a video like this using Matt's Body Wars and Cranium Command videos? I think it'd be cool to see something about the Wonders of Life pavilion since there's rumors that it will be demolished.

    Did you check the other videos? I just watched this guys exploration video of Cranium Command and it is unbelievable what he was able to show. Like back stage stuff! You should really do an abandoned video for Cranium Command and refer to the video for its current state footage.

    What I love about these abandoned videos are the fact that the footage uploaded gives us the most accurate depiction of what buildings and land would like over time if the human race were to ever become extinct, with nobody there to maintain the condition
