I love the thumbs up or down idea to monitor comprehension. I will definitely incorporate this into my read aloud. My teaching partner and I created Google Slides that incorporate these 7 ideas during Covid. I still use them today prior to the read aloud. Thanks!

I look forward to seeing your videos, Susan! I've learned a ton from you, and what I especially love is that your strategies and tips you share are easy to implement. I started watching your videos last year when I was a 3rd grade teacher and was looking for supplemental materials and strategies to support 3rd graders with literacy skills as those of Kinder and 1st grade students. I'm teaching 1st grade this year, so I'll continue to watch and learn from you!

This is a quality piece of work. As an instructional coach, I used it to provide a resource for a teacher who is working on her read alouds.

Thank you Ms. Jones for this informative tutorial. I will be setting a purpose for my read alouds with my students. Thanks again, Mrs. Jones.

Great read aloud strategies. I love when students can become involved in their own questioning process during the read aloud.

Wow! Nice tips. I just find it difficult to keep my read aloud sessions short. I can see you wrote 15-20 minutes, but mine definitely goes beyond that 😅Especially since I teach ESL kids, I can only dream of teaching them anything "complex" like the characteristics or main idea 🙃

Interested in how you organize your classroom library. Have you done a video on that?😊

I love these ideas this is the way these strategies should be taught!
I was wondering if I purchase the Interactive Read Aloud Lesson Plans now, then, when you come out with #2 would I automatically get the update or would I need to purchase #2 also?
Thank you so much for all your videos❤

Thank you Michele! Often it will be a free update if it’s an addition, but this will be a whole new unit so it would be purchased separately!
I will be offering it as a growing bundle though, so it will be a cheap buy-in price with a few books included and then you will get all the additions for free!

Coming from teaching upper grades, I would suggest reading the book through once without stopping. Read it a second time for purpose.

That's good, but when teaching don't speak fast because others are not native speakers and need to get profit of your lessons
