They'll still provide the structure to resist twisting forces. I never hear anyone talking about how sliders help with improving (or retaining on-road handling) when roof modifications are installed. I have many friends that have observed better ride quality after installing sliders or even nerf bars. Back in the day, the Mustang Fox Body was basically built on a ladder frame. For drag racing they braced the bottom to resist twisting forces. They called them "stifflers" buystifflers.com/fit-system-79--93-/

DOM stands for drawn over mandrel (meaning thus is extruded kind of like that old Play-Doh machine you had as a kid). It is a cheaper alternative to using 4130 or similar alloy chromolly seemless tubing. Cheaper products might use conventional welded tubing even though I’ve never actually seen a welded seam tube fail. It is conceivable that they can fail. DOM refers to the process used to manufacture the material, not the grade of the material, the specific type of alloy like for example 513 or 1020.
Nice flip flops, Jon.
As an amateur fabricator myself these sliders seem to have some love and thought put into them.
Haha, thanks Bruceyyyyy!
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Motoring to all!
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!! 🦃
1st like for my kuya jonDZ
Thanks for the support and watching!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate it!
Nice 👍. I can’t wait to get a pair for my 2018 Pilot.
Where did you get the custom Honda emblem for the passport with the likelihood of it being equipped with adaptive cruise control?
Wow. 4th gen Pilots are using older civic/crv parts?!?! 😢😮😅
Curious question on the Traxda 3.5 lift kit. Does it drop the engine too like I’ve seen on Camping Randy’s truck? I think he has the HRG kit though.
Yes, 1” subframe drop. Parts are contoured to the subframe, not just cylindrical spacers 😃.
How would the rock sliders work for stiffening a body in frame vehicle? Curious to see your thoughts on that?

Hey John, by 2025 Doc Emmett Brown will have invented and licensed the flying car and we won’t need no stinking roads.
That just means the Civic was made with heavy duty parts 😅
Yea that’s to heavy for my overland rig I’ll just drive around the rocks and not hit anything
I thought it was pronounced D, O, M, not dom.
You can pronounce it Drawn Over Mandrel, but one extra syllable. I really like the single syllable version :P

Looks really good jon. I haven't put any on mine yet but rock sliders and skid plates will be coming soon
