You shouldn’t limit yourself creatively just because you feel a vague obligation to the game that love and got a base community from. I think you have a similar level of creativity as Ludwig when it comes to content creation, and it would’ve been a shame if he stuck solely to melee (even though that is my favorite game of all time and how I discovered him) Obviously don’t just stick to what’s trending as that will suck your soul quicker than sticking to the same game over and over. Back in 2022 my friends told me I'd never get views if I came back, and I told them that's just not how youtube works, anyone can make it if you target an audience and understand the fundamentals. I proved this by uploading my last video on my channel which is now one of my best videos on my channel 147k impressions, 11.4% clickthrough rate. Reaching an audience of 99.2% who were not subscribed when clicking the video. Definitely proving what the "peak" of Wiz viewership is. When the peak videos from people are only getting 30kish at best it just shows long term there is a cap to this audience of the 30-50k. And those are reserved for the "best" videos for Wiz content on the platform. Even you reaching 80k-100k on your "best" performing videos view wise that's not the norm but that's what needs to be the norm to sustain that level of effort being put in. Even if you love the game and have passion for it. No point investing into that audience if you know the highest point can't even sustain you favorably You definitely reached the peak in terms of views for your videos/content and honestly if you did it in any other genre that had a viewer base you would be way more successful. So you're 100% doing the best thing for you and your content creation journey. I'll be unsubbing to support you (weird to type that) and I look forward to what you make in the future as I'll still come back to take a view. I love wizard 101 but I could never get into it for more than a few weeks at a time. The gameplay loop is awful, with you just clicking the same handful of spells to be rewarded with more quests requiring you to click more cards. The story was great when I was 11, but at 23 it can't hold my interest and I end up just skipping through the dialogue. Not to mention the new wizard city dialogue is god-awful >_o (Remember when the city was under siege by evil undead instead of Michael Jackson referencing, Cats the musical referencing, Vampiric Bunnies and SkELEtAl PiRAtES 😱. RIP Ceren NIghtchant, RIP Duncan Grimwater, RIP Alicane Swiftarrow, RIP General Akilles, GTH Lizzo Firespitter). The spell animations were awesome when I was younger, but now they're all just numbers. The pet system and housing system feel incredibly outdated, and since decorating your house and stitching your gear, and maybe PVP battles, are really the only reward for all your efforts, I don't really feel the drive to continue playing. I can't believe they don't even have pet customization. They really need a Wizard 101 2 at this point, with the game brought up to modern standards. It's a very pretty and colorful game, but it's about as deep as a puddle once you're old enough to critically evaluate it. I'll always have wizard 101 somewhere in my heart though 😢 Anyway, thanks for keeping me entertained in the background of my college assignments, Max!
