Doomguy in the first two games is different from the guy in Doom 3, and Doom Slayer in Doom 4 is Doomguy after fighting in hell for thousands of years, having his soul combined or fused with a demi-god/angel from another dimension, then got trapped into a stasis coffin in hell, and finally got recovered by an alternate dimension UAC exploration team from an alternate dimension earth.

It does, but it’s essentially a multiverse where Doom Guy from Doom 3 got captured in Hell by the demons only after attaining the powers of a knight from another dimension. He was put in a sarcophagus, and the UAC brought him back in Doom (2016).
Doom 2016 tells you throughout the game that Doomguy has been around for a very very very long time. Doomguy is not human. The icon of sin in the hell missions tell you how the Doomguy slayed a titan and how after so long of causing hell in hell with swords and bow and arrows he was sealed away in his tomb that you awaken from in the beginning of the game. Statues of Doomguy are shown in hell as demons are afraid of him. He used to take down big fat demons with his fist but after discovering the wonders of a gun. This got messier.
*spoiler alert* The new Doom keeps this message. The person who allowed all the shit to happen was Dr. Samuel. Dr. Samuel incidentally happen to be fully mechanical, stripped of emotions, and that's the only reason who the demons mostly ignore him. Dr. Samuel represents this detachment of flesh and blood, preferring to cold hard logic. In the end, Dr. Samuel makes the perfect example of the theme of Treesicle's video. I won't talk about it just in case someone wants to, idk find out for themselves. I think the way that doom guy backed up Vega before VEGA's core was over loaded is to tell us that technology isn't all bad. VEGA has been helping Doom Guy out through out the campaign, and it's it's the only peace of technology that Doom guy really accepts. Lastly, isn't the Doom guy from the new Doom that same as the one in Doom One and Two? Because they had portals in Hell talking about this " Doom Slayer " and his actions in defeating hell. It's taken a bit more literally - Hayden wants to harness the power of hell - a.k.a, to draw on the percieved strength of our inner demons and the "darker" parts of our psyche -- He wants humanity to turn to the dark side of the force, essentially. Doom guy's just all like, "nu-uh, dickbutt...get that shit out of here." Even in 2016, doomguy is telling the world that NOTHING good comes from drawing on evil forces, and he stands as a pillar of strength - keeping those darker forces in their place....very violently.

Doom 3 was a reboot. But Doom 4 loosely references Doom 3 in places, if they are linked in some way it would mean that the character in Doom 3 is not actually the "Doom guy" (who in Doom4 is said to be 1000s of years old and was brought back from hell, as was his armour).

It's not a Baphomet. It's the Icon of Sin. It's not Satan, it's Doom Slayer's (Doom Guy. They're the same person. Doom [2016] IS Doom 4) resurrected son. Resurrected in Hell's own image. It's even stated so in the in-game lore. The demons pissed off basically a paladin (The Night Sentinels are basically D&D paladins, they're even granted powers by the Wraiths, their gods), and are surprised when he turns his righteous vengeance on them. They're even /more/ surprised when he single-handedly wipes out the bulk of their armies, especially after getting a demon to make his Praetor Armor, including the ruthless Cyberdemon and the massive Titan. It's even stated that when he defeats the Titan, it was a tipping point in the war. All of Hell's forces retreat into the deepest depth's of Hell until they lure the Doom Slayer into a trap and entomb him into a stone sarcophagus that puts him in a torturous stasis forever. Until the UAC pulls the lid off and unleashes Doom Slayer on the forces of Hell in a last-ditch effort to stave off the invasion after their plan to use Ardent Energy (the energy Hell stole from Doom Slayer's original world/dimension) to solve Humanity's energy crisis. (Instead of, you know, using dark matter, antimatter, or Nuclear fusion/fission reactors like regular people and not risk a /literal/ demonic invasion....)

imo I cant say that I agree, I liked doom 3, but id software could have done more with it, I think quake 4 is what doom 3 should of striven for, or to some how combined them to make the ultimate modern doom experience previous of doom 2016, all I really like on doom 2016 is the heavy music, some of the game-play mechanics and the boss battles, and there is a story kinda sorta similar to doom 3, which I hope they stick to and expand upon that, but I was little disappointed with it overall, I wish they would be more bold or innovative
2016 writes doom 3 out of the story line as more of an Alt universe but ties into doom 64 as the game is supposed to happen in Hell itself after he gets trapped there at the end of Doom basically it writes the original Doom 2 right out too but then theres the fact that the Icon of Sin is already Dead and was the bastardization of the son of one of the Knights mentioned in the 2016 games lore. Doom 2016 basically happens after the events of Doom and Doom 64 ( with this plausibly being the events brought about AGAIN by the UAC but this times using the rediscovered portal tech hundreds if not thousands of years into the future after the survivors had to repopulate the earth and possibly relearn allot of tech stuff over that time and accidentally found argent energy after reopening the portal but millenia after the doomslayer (doom Guy/BJ Blaskowitz III) decimated most of Hell and was sealed into the Sarcophagus which was also found by the UAC (theres plenty of stuff lying around in doom 2016 pointing to this but not being outright about it)) ofcourse this also points that the earth MAY have not been fully invaded or the humans beat them back or humanity was nearly wiped out but found a way to win, survive, and rebuild.
it could also point that some events of Doom 2 where an extension leading into doom 64 and that most of it may have not have happened at all but MAY have been more an hallucination caused by Argent energy exposure which would have still pushed him to fight and STILL killing The Icon of Sin

I grew up during this time period and I am a huge Doom player. I actually chased Doom in a vein attempt to get the perfect Doom experience on a console. I bought a 3DO first..and then a 32X for my Genesis...and a Jaguar (no fucking music), and finally building my first gaming PC just for Doom (486DX2). The point I am trying to make here with this circuitous plan to play Doom is...I did not do this for Wolfenstein. Most people in 1993 were not gamers and did not touch one until Doom came pre-packaged with every DOS/Windows PC. Saying Wolfenstein started the FPS genre is only accurate as it was first to market...Doom started everything. I played Wolfenstein before I saw Doom and while I was impressed it never really had any staying power with me. From the first time I saw Doom, I had to have it and I spent quite a bit to finally get it. I would never push hard like that to get any Wolfenstein title.

Doom 2016 tells you throughout the game that Doomguy has been around for a very very very long time. Doomguy is not human. The icon of sin in the hell missions tell you how the Doomguy slayed a titan and how after so long of causing hell in hell with swords and bow and arrows he was sealed away in his tomb that you awaken from in the beginning of the game. Statues of Doomguy are shown in hell as demons are afraid of him. He used to take down big fat demons with his fist but after discovering the wonders of a gun. This got messier.

The new Doom keeps this message. The person who allowed all the shit to happen was Dr. Samuel. Dr. Samuel incidentally happen to be fully mechanical, stripped of emotions, and that's the only reason who the demons mostly ignore him. Dr. Samuel represents this detachment of flesh and blood, preferring to cold hard logic. In the end, Dr. Samuel makes the perfect example of the theme of Treesicle's video. I won't talk about it just in case someone wants to, idk find out for themselves.
I think the way that doom guy backed up Vega before VEGA's core was over loaded is to tell us that technology isn't all bad. VEGA has been helping Doom Guy out through out the campaign, and it's it's the only peace of technology that Doom guy really accepts.
Lastly, isn't the Doom guy from the new Doom that same as the one in Doom One and Two? Because they had portals in Hell talking about this " Doom Slayer " and his actions in defeating hell. So I guess it's safe to assume that Doom guy is back!!!

Also, most new technology was indeed developed with profit in mind. This isn't a bad thing; greed is one of the most powerful motivators for people available. The ability to profit from one's ideas and hard work is why millions of people have chosen to come here and make their homes, legally and (unfortunately) otherwise. It's also the reason why America has been at the forefront of technological innovation, while nations with controlled and suppressed populations and economic systems mostly stagnate. Greed is good. It's when greed makes people shove morals aside (as you stated in a roundabout way) that it becomes destructive. well in some ways it is a parallel story that was happening in between the two dooms because in doom 1you are fighting on the mars moons and not mars it'self and in the ending you are telleported back to earth from hell which ends the first story of doom.Then in doom 2 it is stated that you traveled back to earth via space ship and once you got there,you find out that hell had taken over all of earth and are forced to fight the demons off yet again to save the whole planet. So if doom 2 was supposed to be a sequel to doom 1 then why does it start off differently from doom 1,with the simple and answer being that there was a whole unforseen episode that happened in between the games that lead to the starting story of doom 2 and doom 3 happens to be that episode as it ends at exactly the same moment doom 2 starts.With doomguy heading home via space ship.

Doom 3 was a reboot. But Doom 4 loosely references Doom 3 in places, if they are linked in some way it would mean that the character in Doom 3 is not actually the "Doom guy" (who in Doom4 is said to be 1000s of years old and was brought back from hell, as was his armour).
How can it be when it links both doom 1 and doom 2 together? In doom 1's ending it says that doomguy walked through a portal from hell and appeared on earth buy doom 2 said you got their via space ship so how can doom 2 be a sequel to doom 1 if it starts off differently than how doom 1 ended which means that there was a full unseen story of events that happened between the two games and the only game that fits that plot hole is doom 3

man, when you said the story is very much like doom i thought you were gonna talk about a bunch of people who actually opened the portal to hell and fought satan, but all i got was a moral compass. thanks i suppose.
It's not a Baphomet. It's the Icon of Sin. It's not Satan, it's Doom Slayer's (Doom Guy. They're the same person. Doom [2016] IS Doom 4) resurrected son. Resurrected in Hell's own image.
It's even stated so in the in-game lore. The demons pissed off basically a paladin (The Night Sentinels are basically D&D paladins, they're even granted powers by the Wraiths, their gods), and are surprised when he turns his righteous vengeance on them. They're even /more/ surprised when he single-handedly wipes out the bulk of their armies, especially after getting a demon to make his Praetor Armor, including the ruthless Cyberdemon and the massive Titan. It's even stated that when he defeats the Titan, it was a tipping point in the war. All of Hell's forces retreat into the deepest depth's of Hell until they lure the Doom Slayer into a trap and entomb him into a stone sarcophagus that puts him in a torturous stasis forever. Until the UAC pulls the lid off and unleashes Doom Slayer on the forces of Hell in a last-ditch effort to stave off the invasion after their plan to use Ardent Energy (the energy Hell stole from Doom Slayer's original world/dimension) to solve Humanity's energy crisis. (Instead of, you know, using dark matter, antimatter, or Nuclear fusion/fission reactors like regular people and not risk a /literal/ demonic invasion....)
Well, thecnically it's DOOM 3, as DOOM 3 was a complete reboot of the timeline.... would that make Doom (2016) DOOM 2 in the new timeline? I need to look into it more.

imo I cant say that I agree, I liked doom 3, but id software could have done more with it, I think quake 4 is what doom 3 should of striven for, or to some how combined them to make the ultimate modern doom experience previous of doom 2016, all I really like on doom 2016 is the heavy music, some of the game-play mechanics and the boss battles, and there is a story kinda sorta similar to doom 3, which I hope they stick to and expand upon that, but I was little disappointed with it overall, I wish they would be more bold or innovative

2016 writes doom 3 out of the story line as more of an Alt universe but ties into doom 64 as the game is supposed to happen in Hell itself after he gets trapped there at the end of Doom basically it writes the original Doom 2 right out too but then theres the fact that the Icon of Sin is already Dead and was the bastardization of the son of one of the Knights mentioned in the 2016 games lore. Doom 2016 basically happens after the events of Doom and Doom 64 ( with this plausibly being the events brought about AGAIN by the UAC but this times using the rediscovered portal tech hundreds if not thousands of years into the future after the survivors had to repopulate the earth and possibly relearn allot of tech stuff over that time and accidentally found argent energy after reopening the portal but millenia after the doomslayer (doom Guy/BJ Blaskowitz III) decimated most of Hell and was sealed into the Sarcophagus which was also found by the UAC (theres plenty of stuff lying around in doom 2016 pointing to this but not being outright about it)) ofcourse this also points that the earth MAY have not been fully invaded or the humans beat them back or humanity was nearly wiped out but found a way to win, survive, and rebuild.
it could also point that some events of Doom 2 where an extension leading into doom 64 and that most of it may have not have happened at all but MAY have been more an hallucination caused by Argent energy exposure which would have still pushed him to fight and STILL killing The Icon of Sin

I grew up during this time period and I am a huge Doom player. I actually chased Doom in a vein attempt to get the perfect Doom experience on a console. I bought a 3DO first..and then a 32X for my Genesis...and a Jaguar (no fucking music), and finally building my first gaming PC just for Doom (486DX2).
The point I am trying to make here with this circuitous plan to play Doom is...I did not do this for Wolfenstein. Most people in 1993 were not gamers and did not touch one until Doom came pre-packaged with every DOS/Windows PC. Saying Wolfenstein started the FPS genre is only accurate as it was first to market...Doom started everything. I played Wolfenstein before I saw Doom and while I was impressed it never really had any staying power with me. From the first time I saw Doom, I had to have it and I spent quite a bit to finally get it. I would never push hard like that to get any Wolfenstein title.
