Only part of our family embarked on the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas as a Christmas trip. It didn't go so well. Half the group was turned away, and the ship did seem to be overcrowded for this particular COVID time. Yet still I was able to get some great footage of the ship and Cococay. The capacity was much higher than our previous cruise on the Freedom in August.

I heard they increased it by 60-70%. Thats pretty high despite there is still a pandemic. I would probably feel more comfortable if it was 50% or less.

When Omicron started...Royal stopped bookings. So most of the cruises right now are around 40 to 50 percent. Subscribe to the channel and click the notification bell. We are cruising next month. So you will get a notification of the Symphony of the Seas capacity. I will be sure to update the community on that.
