HII my dream school is UNC chapel hill (in state) and I’ve already gotten 3 B’s freshmen year :(. I’m gonna try my hardest to get straight A’s sophmoes year. Do you think I can still be a competitive applicant when applying? Also if you’ve taken any of these classes before pls give advice im taking them next year - Honors Chemistry I - AP Human Geography - AP Comp Sci Principles - Honors American History
Hi! Yes, I think you'll still be good as long as you do better in your next few years. I don't think a few Bs freshman year will kill you, especially since the next few years are more important. Honors Chem: I used the Organic Chem Tutor channel a lot when I was confused. Chem is honestly just a bunch of labs and application of concepts/equations (very different from bio). For Chem, doing a lot of practice problems help (like if the teacher assigns them). Honors American History: Idk if this is basically APUSH but my biggest piece of advice would be just to pay attention to the slides/lectures in class and take notes. If you're taking the AP, buy the Princeton Review Book. I'd say one of the most important parts about history class is to not only understand the historical figures/events, but to also understand the cause and effects of them throughout history. Also, just be prepared for a lot of essays and DBQS. And always reach out to teachers for help, they honestly like helping students.
@@AllisonChi11 Okay, thank you so much! I'll try to ignore how teachers speak towards me and still ask for help because I think that sometimes they sound condescending when someone asks something but maybe they don't mean it that way. 😅
Will be looking forward for more videos :D
