I put all my hair pieces, gloves, jewelry, ect. in little baggies labeled with my name on it and put it on the hanger for the costume so I don't lose anything. :)
+Milany Molina you know what...I messed up at my recital this year to. It happens and the hardest thing to do is keep going but as dancers it's what we have to do. So if t happens again just own it, elongate a step so you can get back in time with everyone else or improv for a second and make it look like it was supposed to happen

Three years later im watching this BUT WHO CARES THIS VIDEO HELPSSS!! my recital is next month in may IM NERVOUS AND EXCITEDD! I want to try out for competition but im not sure if I am a strong enough dancer for it. Any tips on how auditions work and what to do at them??
Auditions are basically a situation where you go in, put on a number, and learn a combo or just participate in a class and then depending on how it runs they may have you stay and do the combo again in a smaller group. What I would suggest on what to do at them is be as professional as you can. Don't be standing in the back talking, or leaning on the bars. If they give someone a correction take it and apply it to yourself. When you get there start warming up yourself, do some abs and light stretching. Most importantly, smile and have fun, and don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you stress out, your dancing won't be as strong as it normally is.

I am on a team, so I have to dance in both halves of the recital and there are two recitals, 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. We have rehearsal tomorrow from 9:45 AM to 12:00 PM, and then we get a break until 4:30 PM and have to rehearse again until 10 or 10:30 PM... Then we have rehearsal on Friday and I don't even know what time 😂😂
That sounds like so much fun! Ours aren't like that at all, we have 5 shows that range from an hour to an hour and a half each. Normally I dance in all of them and it's a blast! It must be amazing dancing in front of thousands of people
Five hours each?! That's a lot of dances and dancers! That sounds like so much fun though! What is it like performing at LSU? I just had my dance recital on Sunday and we have 5 shows that last an hour - an hour and a half each all in the same day
