My windows got wiped along with my world of warcraft UI and information... Now i backed up my wtf folder and my addon folder as well... but no one has a video on how to successfully RESTORE an old backup of world of warcraft to a new installation of wow .. a fresh new copy... could you by chance make a video of a "what if scenario" if you or anyone needed to restore world of warcraft before the wipe was done?

Does it work exactly the same if its not secondary accounts but to Alts on a different realm?

Except that when the addon settings have a nickname for a specific profile, it breaks.
You need to run Notepad++ with replace to accomplish flawless copying

I know the vid is a year old but why don't peeps just copy the entire 'WTF' folder and past that over onto their new/other PC?
Why fiddle-diddle with specific folders, why not just paste the 1 big folder and be done with it (baring say installing CurseForge on the other PC and manually installing all the same addons as the old PC had) or better yet copy the 'Interface' folder from the Old PC onto the New PC as well?

I have a question for the great Ms. Latte. Here's the situation...
My level 50 blacksmith makes gear. The gear says "requires level 35" after being made. I mail this gear to my level 30 alt and the item now says "requires level 30". How does one know what gear is going to "change" level requirements when crafting? I didn't use any relics of the past in making this stuff. I just don't understand how a crafter can know in advance what pieces will adapt to lower level alts, etc.
Any thoughts? I'd love a response. I can't seem to get one from asking trade chat in the game or on Wowhead.

I honestly have no idea. I almost never craft gear to use while leveling, only ever for max levels in order to mog. I would imagine most of it will change levels now because of relics being added, even without using them, but I'm not sure since I've not used them. The only things I use are level 10 boots to mog new characters, but I usually buy those from the AH. Sorry about that! :/

just did that with Details! but the 4 tabs i had all turned into damage charts instead of damage/dispel/enemies/healing. I can't find what i'm doing wrong

You first are suggesting copy the whole account folder which is never right since this obviously won't copy your character specific configs and will also end up in having a bunch of unnecessary folders there since your characters on the second account will not have the same names.
