Kenshi Yonezu is the most influential creator of Japanese music this decade

fyi, the 2nd man with cool face at this MV is daiki tsuneta who help composed the song with the kenshi yonezu (main guy at the MV). daiki tsuneta is the guitarist from King Gnu band and the leader of Millenium Parade. maybe after this you can check out his song to explore something new from japanese music

In the past, the Japanese music scene and anime music were completely different. But nowadays anime OP and ED are mostly performed by Japanese top artists.

Back then still be sang by top japanese artist and band same as today. But the difference is nowadays band or musician like keshin yonezu is top tier because he's incredible insane and creative

Currently living in Tokushima, the prefecture of Japan where Kenshi Yonezu is from. It's a very relatively unknown/unacknowledged part of Japan, so here people are kinda treating him as a local hero of sorts. He's massive across Japan, and most of that success was self-directed on the internet with his great vocaloid work.

I love the orchestral swell back down into the grit. Escaping the grind of "effort, the future, a beautiful star" for a few moments makes the return even more brutal, ha ha.

While Kenshi Yonezu is amazing, he didn't make this song by himself. He arranged it with Daiki Tsuneta, the guitarist and second vocalist of King Gnu and also the leader of millennium parade. I think you might like some of his other stuff.

  • @joysaegusa

Daiki Tsuneta of the band King Gnu also produced this song. and some from the King Gnu group also helped in this song.
you must listen to songs from King Gnu, they are so cool

The video has nothing to do with the anime lol, prob why most people have only watched the TV sized version that is used in the actual anime opening. Also only reason I'm not surprised that he produced the song as well is that he made his start making vocaloid music, where everything, including the vocals, were all most commonly done my one person as a passion project, he made music online before anyone knew you could really make a living off it.

You're not going to glean anything about Chainsaw Man from these visuals. They don't have anything to do with the show. I think they show a chainsaw at one point, but that's it

  • @geffi3077

Yes they used chainsaws for instrument in the song.

#1 "CHAINSAW BLOOD" by Vaundy (over 4 million views)
#2 "Zanki (残機)" by ZUTOMAYO (over 2 million views)
#3 "Hawatari 2-oku Centi (刃渡り2億センチ)" by Maximum the Hormone (over 1.4 million views, came out today)

Kenshi Yonezu is the best J-Pop artist right now.
He can play many instruments, arranger, composer, record producer, Vocaloid Producer, (album cover) illustrator, music video conceptor, one of best Japanese illustrator, animator, singer, songwriter, performer, and he also good dancer.

Indeed, you can find another great artist involved in this song. Kenshi Yonezu is supported by another great musician, Daiki Tsuneta, who passed the Tokyo University of the Arts as chello player but quited to start the band King Gnu. I believe the classical tone with cinematic impression is probably aided with Daiki Tsuneta. (You can find King Gnu in Wikipdeia) These two are probably genuine artists who probably deserves the equal reputation as Ryuichi Sakamoto.

i've watched animes for 20 years.. so i suggest you to start with classic fun anime.. just to get the jest what animes are like.. many popular anime have some gimics around pepole that already know animes (for example.. they dont explain the joke since all the watchers already understand) after u program your mind abit you can watch the top reccomandations! and enjoy them the fullest...
to be honest.. only realy few animes are good quality as top hollywood movies
