I've owned a dozen BMWs. But I've never driven a 2002...the real mother of them all! As we know them. This sports coupe has only 99hp...will it be a case of "never meet your heroes?"
Got to love that car. Always thought they were a classic choice and time seems to have proved me correct. A very good friend of mine owns one and he loves his. Great timeless classic.
I have a question for you. On your trip from Florida to Richmond, did you stop at the new Buc-ee's in Florence, South Carolina? On my trip from Maryland to Florida in early May, the Florence location was not yet open, but was scheduled to open soon.
I have a 1972 2002 with 255000 miles on it. It still pleases me so much. A great car .
Good stuff! Love the 2002, though can’t say I’ve ever driven one!
Beautiful Classic BMW
So nice.

It’s just so good.
As an owner of an 02, very easy to work on lightweight!
Nice!
A friend of mine had one of these back in high school. His family always names their cars. Pretty sure his was Pericles.
Cool ride for HS!

I flew! Last time I drove it wasn’t yet open.
About a month ago I followed a 2002 for a block or two, and it hit me on how small they were. It was in yellow and in great shape
Tiny!
I have a 99 e36,modern cars even Civics are much bigger than it.
Yeah. I didn't realize how small they are until my wife pointed out how I look at 6' driving mine.
Also, they don't take up much of the garage! :D

This BMW seems like a decent, but very basic low option car. It is hard to believe that this car is now 50 years old.
Very basic but fun!
