Another great video! I love to fish the oysters especially the narrow troughs between the reefs with moving water. One thing I learned the hard way is the reefs will destroy the bottom of a kayak or boat in a hurry.

It takes some practice and positioning to fish them

I can really appreciate the educational content you are putting out there. It's direct and easy to understand. Keep up the great work, man! Real quick, a little trick I've learned over time that works pretty well for me and may help others is a gamakatsu 3/0 weighted superline worm hook. I mostly use a 1/8oz and more often than not, with a dsl. It works unbelievably well when throwing around heavy oyster in shallow water as the only part of the hook exposed is on the belly side of the lure. The eye of the hook tucks perfectly into the head of the lure and makes it incredibly streamline. It gives you the ability to pull it through tight crevices in the oyster. I very rarely lose a bait this way. Tight lines y'all!

Great video. As a spearfisherman I look for these reefs and grassy eel. Fish like to hide and feed in these areas. Like you I have used Google Earth to choose spots as well.

Always wanted to know how to identify oyster reefs and how to fish them! Cool video bud. I’m switching to salt water myself and just now trying to really educate myself so I can catch ‘em consistently. Thanks again for all the tips n great videos 🔥👍🔥👍🎣🎣🎣

I don't like being trapped in a small area with a lot of people. It holds fish but I won't go there. Same reason I don't fish the main jetties. It's just too crowded for me

Always seem to accidentally find oysters never on purpose

It works like that for me too sometimes. I find some spots by accident, like those big drum last week. Complete accident, I was a little off course in the fog and boom, another oyster reef with drum spooking everywhere lol
