Vincent Coll’s rise in the criminal underworld would see him work for leading alcohol bootlegger Dutch Schultz, where he would be used as protection for alcohol delivery trucks, as well as an enforcer to ensure bar owners only buy alcohol from Dutch Schultz.
Things would soon go downhill for Vincent Coll though after falling out with Schultz. Leading to a violent war on the streets, which saw the murder of a child, and Coll himself being killed at the age of 23.
But what was life like for one of America’s most notorious criminals?
