I'm surprised they did such a major op on an elderly man this a very aggressive form of cancer. There was no way he was strong enough to go through Chemo. Very sad but at least he had LOTS of family to support him.
Brian was keen to get home to his "pay" because he wanted gear. 100%

That’s why they did the operation on him because basically that was his only choice if they wanted to try and cure him usually they wouldn’t do this type of surgery on someone that age but they had no choice because as you said chemo would have been to much and more than likely wouldn’t have cured him

@@surgeon1016 they had a choice. Choice is to let the patient succumb to the illness rather than suffer further.

@@Nightlifeimages that is a choice as well but maybe the family and himself wanted to do the operation maybe the doctors thought that if they did this they would cure him it’s hard to know as cancer is unpredictable

@@surgeon1016 Australian doctors are highly trained and are well aware that this operation would never be a cure. Its safe to say that in todays standards a surgery like this probably would not take place.

@@Nightlifeimages look I agree I’m from Australia as well and I know with my late grandmother who passed away in 2013 from cancer she was 78 and they gave her chemo for 15 months and they gave us more valuable time with her time we wouldn’t of had if they didn’t try to cure it and honestly even if they didn’t cure him they gave his family an extra two months something they may not have if they didn’t try in the end you don’t know unless you try and I’m sure they all knew the risks and what the outcomes could be
