+bo99ful This is a normal colour for a newborn. It can take up to 10 minutes for their colour to become the pink we are used to! It happens gradually as the baby breathes, as the baby has less oxygen inside utero. Aslong as the baby is breathing regularly, and responding well then it is not a worry!

heart in utero has a hole between the 2 chambers to pump blood to placenta and bypass lungs, hence it's lower in saturation
