The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was a World War II-era fighter-bomber aircraft produced by the United States. Renowned as a hardy and versatile machine, the P-47 could carry up to 2,500 pounds of external ordnance in addition to its eight .50 caliber machine guns. Propelled by the stalwart R-2800 Double Wasp engine that also powered the F4U Corsair, F7F Tigercat, and many other aircraft, the P-47 was one of the fastest and heaviest single engine fighters of the war, seeing service in all theaters of the war as a bomber escort, reliable ground attack platform, and lethal dogfighter.
We are proud to announce Nexa, our newest brand for quality balsa aircraft with the P-47 Thunderbolt "Touch of Texas", piloted in World War II by Captain Charles Mohrle of the 510th Fighter Squadron, 405th Fighter Group, circa 1944.
The Nexa P-47 is a .46 - .55 size electric or gas option scale series warbird with a 1500mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered with a fuel-resistant covering. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes flaps, painted pilot, machine gun, antenna and other scale details. The large battery hatch affords ample room for either electric or gas setups. To complete the scale appeal of this beautiful Razorback, the model includes electric retracts and scale struts. Impress at your flying field with this iconic stunner!

Man , I, like it
Sorry been busy to watch your videos this week is crazy. I love how it flew! Take off and landings look easy as well! GREAT WORK GUYS!
i guess it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch new movies online?
@Brentley Ryland flixportal :)
@Kylan Alexzander thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it !
@Brentley Ryland you are welcome :)
Beautiful guys!!!! Love the P47, thanks for sharing 👊🏼👊🏼👍🏼
It loves you get you ☝️
I might buy one I'm 13 am I allowed?
The Razorback P-47 is my favorite. It's the different between a fastback and a coupe!! Well done Boozers!👍 I would've done the same thing as far as the power system. If it wants 4, go with 6, on a plane like this!! Great stuff guys😀😉 AirHammer out!!
Papa... what you said is exactly where I'm at.. done the larger foamier, done the jets. After watching the unboxing, I ordered mine right away. This is the perfect step up without spending $1000+ for one of the Black Horse planes. Haven't started the build yet, but just looking at it the plane is really nice. Been waiting to see it fly and now I'm motivated to get the build started.
Awesome to hear Kent you are going to love this plane so smooth just absolutely a joy to fly
I picked up the Same Aircraft a couple weeks ago. Thank you, for the build information on HobbySquawk. Funny, I had to vote between the three RC Forum names in which we choose Hobbysquawk! An old Indian adage. I'm going to go electric as well. Much cleaner and more reliable. I'm excited to build this model P-47 Thunderbolt. A lot of history with this aircraft. A pleasure to have an RC Model of this caliper. Again, great job with the efforts you both are building in the RC community.
That is a beautiful job and a beautiful flight guys! That was also the greasiest landing ive ever seen. Great job!
Great job Boozers! Fantastic plane and video. Thank you very much!
I love this one. It just may end up in RECKEM Roy's hangar. Killer job BOOZERS. LOVE 💘 IT
Just don’t Reckem Roy it lol 😝
Now, how can anyone give this video a thumbs down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's always one in the bunch that just can't understand good fun. I'd hope they'd re-think that attitude.
Beautiful Boozer's! Love the beginning shots!
Love the plane thanks for making it available 😉🔥
Looking great and thanks for sharing and God Bless y’all
I love this plane great job Boozers.
This plane loves you so much you should adopt it’s brother adoption paper work available at MotionRC.com
Such a great looking Jug and a great price too. Think I'm gonna have to get one, there's just something about a good razorback. One of my favorites.
The paint job on this one is also my favorite green with invasion stripes can’t go wrong
Nice flying!
Thanks Dave it’s a sweet bird I truly feel this is a perfect first step to balsa
Nice flyin west, nice job on the build papa
Thanks Dave she is a looker
Super looker
FMS Power Baby! Nice plane!
RCINFORMER I think it’s time for RCINFORMER to inform on some Balsa!
I'm surprise to hear that the power is from an FMS 1700mm Corsair!
@@MerryBoozerRC I can go old school on some balsa, I was born in that briar patch:)
Haha do it all the cool kids are
Love it, I got to have one ,,,
Awesome guys,I'm getting one..lllol
When is someone reviewing the Nexa dago red or voodo
Hi IV been loving your videos and I just bought the VQ P47 Thunderbolt touch of Texas and I would love to no how you applied the stickers are the vinyl or just plain stick on stickers that you cut Or do they have a back on them as apply and peel of the clear to reveal the decals help on this would be great cheers Rick
What kind of mix did you do for flaps and elevator?
What size is that 4 blade prop
Where is the link to the build.? Don't understand why these companies don't design the scale dihedral into there planes. I know it's easier to do the spar and retract angles .but with lasor cutting I just don't understand not using scale shapes.
how do u get the machine guns in the wing? It's a solid wing with no entry for the guns. The machine guns are not tubes but actual miniature 50 cals.
Wow...just a beauty she is. Is it advisable to go for this if I have flown only 1.2m warbirds? Can you or Papa perhaps give some tutorial on repairing balsa. I am newbie and enjoying this hobby ever since i picked up last autumn 😉
Yes you can probably fly this plane just make sure you have the proper skills to fly it because repairs will be more of a challenge with this airplane.
How did Dave comment 1 day ago lol awesome plane
Lol he is a moderator for the channel and viewed it early
Merry Boozer RC oh ok lol
Thanks for the video. The P-47 is my favorite warbird so this caught my interest. Hmmm, balsa or foam? I think I'm going to have to go with the FMS 1500mm P-47, which you also did a review on. Seems like that's also a great looking and flying model!
Won’t go wrong with ether they are both fantastic planes
I got to ask-is it beautiful and does it fly scale? Not sure if i heard that in this video haha 😁 Love it Wesley - Papa! & we not ever forget Lori always there working hard behind the cam! Looking forward to more videos in this one. 👊😉
It flies nice, but they do not float around like all the larger foam warbirds that are so popular today.
Boozers, what do you think about putting a Saito FG-21 in this Nexa P-47? Any thoughts?
Now I’m in trouble, I was gonna order the Ov-10, but I’ve been looking at this and now I want it.....maybe I’ll get both, time to sell something 🤷🏻♂️.....
Haha I understand it would be a hard choice just get both
Not a bad looking stand off scale model. I just wish VQ models could have at least gotten the correct dihedral angle. The wing is way to flat. For some reason they do this with a lot of their models. I will say, I have never had a bad flying VQ. I got one of the first VQ A-26's back in the 1990's, and still have it today. I reworked, recovered and painted it, and it turned out to be one of the best flying twins I've ever flown.
If I did it again I would fix the dihedral in the assembly wouldn’t be that hard but I wanted to show the plane as it comes from the factory. The plane flys absolutely fantastic and if you can get past this one small thing it truly is one of my favorite war birds currently
Beautiful flight and plane. Great job! What where your battery readings?
3.84 if I remember correctly
Is there a build video somewhere? Papa mentioned a video, or did he mean the thread at hobby squawk?
There isn’t a build video but there is a thread on hobby squawk of Papa documenting his build.
Really enjoyed your video that im going to buy one of these planes. It looked really smooth in flight. Im a nitro plane flyer and have been since 1986. However I do have a few electric planes, one of which you recommended to me, the T28 CARBON Z TROJAN BY EFLITE. Love that plane. Ive never had a P47 though but was always looking out for one. Now I think ive found it. Just one question, I have a few 6s 5000 lipos here at home, so was thinking of buying an eflite 60 size motor? Or do you think an Eflite 46 would be better? Thank you.
The 46 will more than likely be fine i was super surprised how light this airplane is. It’s actually a 4s bird but I like the 6s power. Also check out the build thread on hobby squawk I linked it in the description of the video 😉
Looking good!
What retracts did you use?
The stock retracts that come with the plane 😉
Hi, Glad to see it flying ... I'm the guy that bought your b17 and spitfire ... could you please send me info on where you got the great "name plate" that's on the Spitefire.. it's a great idea and i would like to put on my planes too. Great review!!
Whoops should have taken that off haha got them from calliegraphics.com
@@MerryBoozerRC thank you sir, no worries...i've taken it off
Did you use the 18x11 or the 17x10 prop? I'm looking to build to the same specs.
I believe it’s the 17x10 but if you click the link in the description of the video to the build thread it’s in there exactly what I used 😉
Hello mate I’ve just purchased this model and would like to set it up same way you have there with 4 blade prop etc would you mind telling me what extras you put in plane please?
Thanks
Ben

I'm 13 am I allowed to own one of those?
This is America you can own anything although adult supervision would be recommended these can be dangerous if they are mishandled
It doesn't look scale to me, too little dihedral.
where did you obtain the motor and prop from I can not find those parts for sale?

Veey nice! But too little dihedral to be scale.
Good news it’s wood can always change that 😉
How much out the door including plane, power system, servos and etc.?
Around $550
Nice, thanks West. Btw, could you tell me where I can get the FMS power system and ESC again.
If you all would shut the hell up when you do a fly by so you could hear the S.O.B?. 🤬😡😡😡 beautiful bird
It needs an engine
One day but for now it has electrons
It looks nice. ...but wrong.... The wing is flat...thats so wrong that it get a BIG NO from me ...so sad, Sorry!
wow,,,wow,, looks like all rc airplanes big deal,, just another rc plane
warbird with a silent motor lol
But no problem with dead stick
Sounds like "poppy" has been deep in boozy .....
Hey Poppy ... REAL RCers build and Fly NITRO or GAS powered models, not ARF Electric Toys.
Ok 👌 but I guess you missed the part where we have been doing this sense the 90s been there done nitro it’s the worst power system available now gas is cool but expensive I’m an electric guy but to each his own instead of bashing your fellow flyers embrace it or get left behind 🤫
