- Here's a simple way to create a polyrhthm in Cubase 12.
Polyrhythms are a great way to add a bit of mystery, a bit of weirdness to your track. There's huge potential in polyrhythms, so many options for unusual grooves. It doesn't take much to come up with something compelling.
Have fun using polyrhythms in your next Cubase project! Let's make music weird again.

thank you for the video man !
No worries!
Thank you for the great tip. This is exactly what I was. Looking forward to do in Cubase.
That was really helpful, thank you!
Happy to help!
As you said, easy to understand but hard to implement. How can this be done for 5/3 or 3/5? I can't seem to do it the way you have shown.
Hey man, let's see if we can work it out! Firstly, what do you mean by 5/3 and 3/5?
@@LTGuitarist It's a polyrhythm, so 3 notes over 5 beats, or 5 notes over 3 beats. I'll be honest these polyrhythms are confusing to me so I may not be explaining it correctly. I think the key is either the way you did, or MIDI can also be time stretched...
Hey! Sorry for the delay there, I was trying a few things out. I think if, in you're example, you're in 5/4 time and you want to superimpose 3s over the top, the time stretch MIDI method is best!
Honestly, I find it quicker to do that a lot of the time anyway!
Hope this helps
