Psychedelics killed my drug and alcohol dependencies - one trip two years ago to purge my depression and chronic anxiety from my system was the best decision I ever made. I've done Acid a few times since, but after my last high dose trip I realized that the medicine has taught me enough for now. I might return to psychedelics later in my life if I ever find a source.

I've listened to many trip reports, books, talks on psychedelics before taking a proper dose myself. It's impossible to understand their effects on you unless you experience it directly. It does something physical to the brain, no amount of consuming information about them can even come close to trying them yourself.

Thank you for this information. As someone who is working hard to heal from trauma/PTSD I have found nasal ketamine to be very helpful and my providing doctor as told to EMDR (trauma therapy) is best done the day after treatment. Now I understand the science behind it and I have a science brain ❤️

I wish this video had as many or more views than others of yours. This can be the most important part of journeying. Thank you again for your smart, clear examination of psychedelics.

Thank you so much for this! I don’t have access to professionals to help me integrate my experience. I really feel like this is the missing ingredient in all my past experiences.

Love your channel! Just discovered it. Great stuff man. Maybe you have another video on it, but what are you working in right now? Is RUclips your main gig or are you working in Neuroscience?

Mainly in Neuroscience - at UCSF. But trying to make more time for content creation!

Thank you ! Manesh or sharing your knowledge and insights from the academia realm. I am interested in the psychedelic, or mind revealing, experiences, but drug-free, particularly induced by conscious breathwork. Did you plan doing a video about that subject, or related? Otherwise could you list reliable sources I could dig in articles, books, etc.? I find your mind view clear and concise and am guessing the sources you would point at will be reliable and interesting. In curiosity, m. :)

Idk if he specifically talks about it, but I bet Wim Hof experiences this with his breath work. He's forever telling ppl he loves them and is a bit weird, but in a good way. Read his book if you havent, Wim Hof: the Iceman.

Hi Together! Having this cognitive knowledge may give us more control during the Trip?

    • @tankjones513

Control is an illusion. Controlling is counterintuitive. In order to control, you must let go of all need to control. Much love brother ❤

Thank you for your work and info, I really appreciate it. (Also, thanks for all the comments/testimonials.)
Also, FWIW, Unless you mean something unique/different, the caption at 6:30 should probably be spelled "encoded" rather than "in-coded" ;-)
