How Patrón Makes Its Tequila

- Patrón tequila is considered ultra premium tequila, which makes it one of the most expensive spirits you can buy. A top shelf handmade crystal bottle can cost as much as $7,500. Each bottle of tequila is made with the same recipe the company used on its first day of operation at the Jalisco distillery in 2002. Today, Patrón employees cork 80 tequila bottles per minute.

How 100% Agave Tequila Is Made
So basically you just take the agave, cut it and put it on a conveyor belt and voila patrón tequila is finished. Absolutely fascinating.
Lukas Oitzl LMAO
Lukas Oitzl That ancient process has remained the same since day one... Don’t mock tradition.
???
Lol good one

Wow, ancient

Yup herradura is better
I watched that part twice to confirm that I heard "2002" ... 😂
Actually Tequila is very overrated and expensive despite of being made with industrial techniques. I would prefer to buy Mezcal, which is handcrafted and various agave species can be used, unlike tequila which only uses Blue agave Tequilana Weber
It’s barely legal, under 18 alcohol brand.
The question still remains : *How is Tequila made ?* The video didn't show the procedure of it being made other than being packaged.
Same way as any other spirit. You take a low alcohol solution and distill the shit out of it

I'm always amazed on how humans can make Booze out of anything.
I mean look at that plant. You can't eat it. But somehow someone thought to make booze out of it.
Maybe you could eat it. I read once that the first inhabitants knew it to be edible because the animals ate it. "Human remains dating back at least 10,000 years show the early uses of agave for food and fiber. The agave plant has long been part of human culture and was already ancient when the Spaniard Conquistadors arrived in 1492. By 1520, it was exported into the Old World. Agave is mentioned as a food of the Aztecs and natives in the Florentine Codex of 1580. " - IOAA Agave Ancient History
you can eat it. the heart of the root bulb is slow cooked and turns into a super sweet candy
Anything that contains sugar can be made into booze
Should've invested in agave years ago!
Chris Invests - Personal Finance Videos
Properties are Jalisco where have can be planted are skyrocketing. Compared to a few years ago land was dirt cheap.

I watched the whole video, and I still don't know how Patrón Tequila is made.

Okay. Here is some extra information.
Blue Agave takes 7-10 years to reach harvest and it demands a huge area of land to cultivate it in a cyclical system to continue production.
The pines are steamed and crushed to make the juice which will be further fermented and distilled twice to make tequila.
Well, the region of Tequila in Mexico produced the earlier brands of tequila and those are limited to somewhat around seven families/companies. Only those brands and those who paid them to use the term are allowed to use the term 'tequila' and the rest are just blue agave liquor.
It's actually 5 years in the Los Altos region.

Coronavirus would like to know your location
Did someone say shots 💣
No
Several years ago, I was very good friends with a professional couple who worked in a famous medical research and treatment center near Los Angeles. They had family roots in the Tijuana area in Mexico, and a few times a year they would travel down there to visit family and shop. We went with them once or twice, and one of the remarkable things I discovered was that they would buy bottles of tequila, very expensive brands, and bring them back to Los Angeles to serve to acquaintances and friends at parties. It was very impressive to see such expensive bottles of tequila arrayed on the bar shelves in their home. What I discovered, though, was that they never paid more than $5 for each of these bottles of tequila. Otherwise, these bottles and their contents looked exactly like bottles costing much much more. And their guests never complained.
I’m from Los Altos Region in Jalisco, Patron is made in Arandas also in Los Altos. The agave head has to steam for 24 hrs 350* then cool off for 18 hrs. Before they extract the juice to start the fermentation process. It’s a lot of work , but it is also extremely fascinating to watch the process from start to bottle. Salud!
I don't know what part of Los Altos you're from but Patron is NOT made in Arandas.
It's made in Atotonilco el Alto.
I never drink I am just here to see the plant cutting skills 🗡
It's so satisfying watching the farmer shave the leaves off the heart.
I never knew about Patron and never tasted tequila but still enjoy this video.
When it's in peña form it looks so soothing
Piña.

It’s all about presentation, pretty bottles, wrapping paper and boxes and the sheep flock.
Ya it’s called marketing
Insider videos about how something is made are either 3-4 minute ads that tell you nothing or just a How It's Made episode they purchased and are showing as their own.
Actually going to Guadalajara, Jalisco and heading to the town of Tequila next month! Pretty good timing for this to show up on my recommendations🥃🙃

This Patron ad explains absolutely nothing about how tequila is made!
Thank you very much!
I have a sneaking suspicion it's made from Agave.

Shoutout to all the comments I have concluded I will not watch this video
So, when do they actually make it?

I'm sure this video is not an ad for Patron's Tequila. Yep.
Patron is the only liquor that actually makes me salivate when I see it, so good
Thanks. I now now nothing about how tequila is made..
Apparently, the "piña" of piña colada can refer to agave hearts instead of just pineapple. It does make sense, given the prepared heart's shape.
I'm glad I came to the comments first.

$7,500 for a 1/5 of tequila and it's BLENDED?
The _Laphroaig_ Master Distiller would have a cardiac arrest if he heard that!!
Best tequila out there hands down
Not really. Siete Leguas is much better. Don't fall prey to great marketing and presentation. It's what's inside the bottle that counts.
They put it in a bottle and put a cork in it wrap it in paper put it in a box and that’s how tequila is made any questions
beautiful Asssociate producer.....
Nice ad. I only realized it was an ad after I saw it.
I don't understand how they can harvest 8,000 a day, but the plant takes 7 years to grow. How much space do these farms take up? That's a crazy number of plants.
So when do we get to learn how tequila is made? I just saw stock footage on a loop.
*"Atleast 60 hands touch each bottle...."*
*A wrong point to mention...*
Patron, they have captured Blackie.
