Hi guys~ This video is just to answer all the questions everyone has asked me(Sam) over the last few months! If you are not interested in school life in Korea, or don't want to watch because JJ is sadly not in it, feel free to skip! And I know the Q&A was incredibly awkward and boring, and I'm sorry! I'm still getting used to being behind the camera talking to myself...

**What I forgot to mention:**
1. Financial Aid:
There is NO FINANCIAL AID for my university from the US. I know a few schools in Korea do accept it, but you will have to do your research.
2. Orientation:
The week before school starts there should be an orientation for incoming foreign students. The administration will teach you basic things in order to get adapted to school life, such as open a bank account, how to apply for an alien registration card, and get health insurance. All of which you will need!
3. Jobs:
Tutoring is technically illegal but almost everyone does it anyways. You can get a part time job working at a restaurant, cafe, bar, or any other similar place. BUT you must get permission from the school and get it confirmed at the immigration office.
4. Class signup period:
It's different depending on what year you are (how many semesters you've finished). You signup a few weeks before school starts and the first week of school is like shopping, you can drop or take new classes to figure out what you want.
5. Transfer:
You can also transfer in after 2 years from another university!
Applying to Korean university is very similar to other schools all around the world, it just requires a lot of work and patience. But it's worth it in the end! Good Luck!
If you have any more questions, feel free to DM me on Insta!

@Ulises Alexander you are welcome xD
1:06 person under the blanket... honestly a MOOD.
Once again, I'm sorry this video does not have subtitles and is incredibly boring! This is purely just to answer the hundreds of people who asked me questions about school life in Korea. Every video in the future will definitely have both Korean and English subtitles!
샘JJ Sam and JJ Hello.
It's okay about the subtitles and it is not boring at all...I enjoyed watching your video Sam Sam 🌺
We understand SAM don't worry, we got youuuu ❤❤❤
Wow, this is completely different side of you, Sam.
You usually seem very quiet and demure.
It isn't boring :))) thank you for the info hehe!
The real you😂 girl love you more this way being talkative ❤️❤️
Never knew you were this much talkative😁😁.....btw totally love your videos
This is the first time I've seen Sam speaking for so long IT'S ACTUALLY SO SATISTFYING. I hope she does a lot more of this kind of videos I mean I love JJ and Sam which is what I signed up for but geez I just love seeing Sam talks a lot hahaha.
When u are alone, you speak English like an actual American. I like the way u speak like this.
You are so amazing that you are actually studying there ,you are patient, I want to be a student in Korea but I'm always finding a hard time, because every research I do gives a different perspective, thank you SAM for giving me informations about your school ,I will look into it,
All love ❤❤❤❤❤
황노을 No-eul you are right about that. It’s a big step to take and also very difficult to understand how schools are in other countries. And of course being finance stable enough is really important. Watching other youtubers talk about it might help to
@@minamientje9045 advice given here is: be able to pay for everything for the complete study (college rent food insurance etc) because assume youre not gonna make any money
OhHi Oh that’s true. It’s so important to be ready when studying in a different country. I ones met a girl who came all the way to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 from Greece 🇬🇷 and didn’t have enough money to pay her rent after three months. She had to ask her parents for help because she didn’t have time to work. The university hours in the Netherlands change a lot and it’s to much pressure to work in the weekends since there is a lot of homework and effort into university. I think that counts for most universities in different countries
@@minamientje9045 besides school being for school and not for wroking, you can work you ass off the next 60 years, its also very hard to find a job that will hire you, as a student and as a foreign worker on a student visa, but you also have to take into account things like accidents depending on the country you might not even be insured, people concentrate too much on the school only, living in a foreign country is completely different
I love it when you're this talkative 😂😂😂
This was really helpful! Thank you so much Sam☺️💕
This is really helpful to me and boosted my confidence about my future plans to go to be a foreign student in Korea, thank you!
i love the way you talk. i love the fact that you talk a lot in this video. and you're so pretty too.
You can do it sam, stay positive!!
I was very surprised. I like you talking so much and with such seriousness.
I’ve been looking into this school and have always been interested in attending! Thanks for this informational video!!! 🥰
Thank u so much for your video, it's so interesting and helpful! Love from Italy! 🇮🇹❤️
I lost it between 9:53 - 10:06
😂
What a cute rant!
“Sam and JJ” I love you both 😘💜💜
This was very helpful thank you 💜💜✨✨
Btw I love the videos
i studied at ewha as an exchange student last year. i do not recommend the dorms (double meaning youll have a roommate) if you're used to your privacy and a little more space for yourself (e.g closet, desk etc) and if you dont know if youre gonna get unlucky and be roommates with someone who clashes with your personality. thankfully it was just for a few months, however if i were to stay longer, i def recommend getting an apartment or a guesthouse if you want to make friends easily. no curfew for exchange students, however there are rules on what you can and cant bring in to the dorms. THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM IS TRASH its truly competitive...especially since classes only open 1 ~ 2 seats for exchange students, when theres over 500 exchange students per semester... if i didnt get my hometown university into it i wouldve gotten kicked out from the program i was enrolled in (i had specific classes i had to enrol into or my credits wont transfer and i wouldve been removed my scholarship and not graduate on time)
also since theres a shared kitchenette and you dont wanna get cooking utensils since youre only there for a bit so you dont wanna waste your money, however you dont wanna use the ones there since you dont know whom it belongs to.. nor are you sure of the hygiene..
oh and since some dormitory buildings have shared bathroom and showers.....
omg,,,, thank you so much for this extremely informative video! you explained everything so nicely that i was able to understand quickly and easily! i hope to be able to attend a korean university one day!!

I have another question, even though it’s unlikely you’ll see this-
What made you choose a Korean college over a college in another country? Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seemed like you applied to colleges in other countries besides Korea. It’s just be super interesting to know what motivated you to choose this one instead of I guess staying in America?
I love your videos!! Thank you!!

Alida I was a women's studies student! All my classes were in English
@@lilactthew was it difficult to make any friends?
Thank you for answering so quickly. I need to accept the offer until Monday so I'm kind of in a rush 😊😂

Very nice the university where you learn. I wish I could learn at university... Although many people say it is harder than the high school. But you can also be much more attractive to me. Anyway. That Chapel part ,I don't think it's necessary to asked all stud to go there.
I want to complete a PhD in management, can you mention the universities that do not have age requirements and lower costs, thank you
I'll be 17 year old after graduating high school in june but you must apply for universities and scholarships in march which means I will waste a whole year to apply missing so many other opportunities and I was wondering if I could apply before my graduation or something.
You are like 전소미
I am learing E from your channel
i wanna go there but scared that i will be lonely😩
Hi! I also want to go to a Korean university in two years but I have a huge problem with finding the right uni for me. I don't know any Korean and I'm wondering is it even possible to study fully in English? I've checked numerous university websites but all say you are required TOPIK level 3 at least.
question do you have to send some medical documents also?
Why did u wanted to come to Korean?
Learn Korean and why.
2020
I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I plan on applying to a Korean university as a full-time student what would you
say is a safe gpa to apply with?
3.00 gpa
Ewha❤️
I like E videos like this
I’m curious why u chose this versus a study abroad/ exchange program? Did u apply to korean university while in high school? Also where r u from?
Polina Tkachenko huh ?? But didn’t she came for her University program ?
I mean doesn't it make sense to try and learn the language of the country you're living in even if you're a English major? Forced exposure to it helps, no? Maybe that is why they are having you take some courses in Korean? It can only be a positive outcome over negative.
how language do you speak
Thanks
her not understanding wuts going on in class is me in math 😼
gl studying
Which University is good for medical international student because I wanna study doctor in korea
