Thanks for watching
I wonder how long before they put the LZ R34 GTR into Gran Tourismo as a tuner special...
What a car, absolute work of art. Adam is no joke, everything he touches turns to gold.
He back purged. At 8:40 you can see the clear plastic blocking that end of the pipe. They probably used clear so the camera can see the welding for them cinematics.
At 8:26 when he is welding on the table you can clearly see plug and hose from the back purge. I enjoyed your video tho.
Lol right? Don’t know how he didn’t see or realize while editing and voicing over this build review. Adam may be a flashy expensive always top shelf parts kinda guy but he’s definitely an ocd stickler when it comes to his builds.
@@CamCadie OCD is an understatement when it comes to Adam
Even johan is ocd with his welds. They used an acrylic just to show the insides when welding. But he always backpurges when welding titanium. There are lots of vids in adam's channel my dude
Wtf dude lol clearly back purged!!
8.20 and 8.30 He has the end of the pipe open = no back purge. The guy is right.
they all work for adam at his compound it is huge there are several buisneses running from the compound it is all set up like a race factory very impressive cheers from down under
Found your channel via the EvilGT lads. Fair play to you mate for helping them turbo the Yaris and not charging them a penny. That's what I've always believed in, a group of friends helping one another out simply for the love of cars. You got a new subscriber.
Finally a propper car break down. Loving the passion
Johan made sure to back purge everything on that car, I remember going down to my dad (he’s a fabricator) what back purging was and he even complimented Johans techniques
You forgot to mention that he had the engine bay painted twice, due to him not liking the paint job the first time, attention to detail is crazy
I can remember correctly, first paint was messed up and he wasn’t happy with quality
Great review but it's clear you didnt watch every video on this build. I know it's a lot of time to put aside to watch everything but as someone who followed this build I'm surprised you didn't know much about it. Every adam lz fan will tell you literally every nut and bolt was touched and restored on that car. No hate or diss to you at all but definitely subscribe to him if you havent already because this build was the turning point that pushed his "pursuit of perfect". That's why everything he does looks really clean and is a solid build (most times) haha
Hi thanks for the comment, what exactly about the breakdown didn't you agree with?
Great job 👍🏿
You definitely need to make more videos ❤
Do a series on cars built by Evil GT
My guy good vid but I think we can agree that you could balance the audio a bit more some sections ware way loader than others
Keep it up my man
I think you like the sound of external gates
Motive Video has entered the chat
Nice one Spender
Pretty good review of the build overall; I would say, an important tip for the future, for the sake of people using headphones, or watching in a quiet apartment, I would really strive to make your narration audio level and the video clips you use to be at the same level. I was constantly struggling to hear what you were saying, then interrupted by a loud clip of Adam talking or a car revving, so i was juggling the volume level the whole time
Thank you for your message 🙏 yes absolutely the sound quality has some issues but I've fixed that for the next upcoming videos. There's alot to learn in the beginning! 🙏🙏🙏
I think I know a good bit about cars, but watching you is just incredible. You are so knowledgeable its inspiring, keep making videos!!
Enjoyed the video mate. I watched this build from start to finish and was good to see the progress on it. Also how did you end up getting into the motorsport scene?
Hi thanks for your comment.
I bought modified car magazines from being around 14-15 years old, and being naturally good at maths and science in school I eventually figured out that there was a science to making cars go fast - So I started to read tuning magazines at around 16 years old and then l was lucky enough to start an apprenticeship with a car tuning shop.
From there I just pushed and pushed to learn new skills and work with faster and higher level cars which ultimately took me into professional motorsport.
I like your video but…. You should have done a LOT more research before doing a breakdown on someone else’s build. From the back purging to who did all the work are details you easily could have worked out beforehand.
The guy welds without a backpurge a couple of times in the video - 8.30 for example
No1 got time 4 dat... take it as it is... great video
watched the videos and found that everything with pressure was back purge.
what you saw in the video was the intake to the turbos, they weren't back purge
Yes it is, johans the man
@ 9:08 you can see the ends capped for the back purge i belive that shot was just tacks and for the shot
Yes, please do a reviow on the Dham 4 rotor build!
Oh god, i'm not sure I want to see that one lmao. I love Rob, but he went to shops that screwed him over and he's made a lot of mistakes over the years he's still trying to clean back up. He'd also go through like 6 YEARS of videos haha
W vid
The best street car to me would be able to hit 2nd and 3rd full throttle to recline on the highway. And at least redline 2nd in the city. But keep up with better cars.
Like my car for example is a cobalt ss/sc and is about 250hp. It's fun and suprised quite a few people. But I'd like to turbo it and make about 350-400hp. It would be faster than most sport cars that are stock or light mods, and keep up with stock supercars from a roll.
Just a few things.
- The sump might be baffled yes but its probably also extended to help with oil starvation.
- You have to go aftermarket ECU. That's a given.
- Single vs twin is hardly about sound. Comparison clips are terrible. Of course it will sound different under load and free revving. Different turbos will sound different, different intake lengths and sizes, gate setup, exhaust size and addition or lack of resonators and mufflers.
Hello butty, coming at you from @evilgt 👍🏻
Twin plate clutch is so you dont have to have a big stiff singe plate clutch. It spreads the engagement over 2 discs instead of 1. If youre talking heat, then youre talking ceramic vs organic... or carbon.
There is a limit of how big you can make a clutch though right..... you cant just keep on making a single plate bigger and bigger ... so then you have to add additional plates. The torque limit of a clutch is it's heat capacity.
twins just aren’t as competitive anymore, the development and tech you have in singles nowadays just blows the twins that were used in the late 90s and early 2000s out of the water. let alone all the fun a single has in terms of sound etc.
They work for Adam that's Adam's home shop.
Adam had other single turbo cars. So this beast needed twins to be correct.
The single turbo is under load doing a pull though. Adam's just reving it. Plus that single might have a open wastegate.
This video reminds me of the old piggy back ecu's....remember those....
EVIL GT brought me here
❤️❤️
Funny thing about sound is it's entirely subjective. I think the twin turbo sounds better personally....
There's no way he spent 200k on the build including the car. The car is a midnight purple 3 vspec... that alone is like 350k minimum. He's gotta be into this car for like 450-500k
3rd subscriber.
Nice breakdown!
Your audio levels could use some tuning. Your voice was really low and then the clips were really loud. Your voice also completely drowned under the outro clip.
While I agree I like the hit and sound of a single over a twin turbo set up that’s a terrible single turbo to twin turbo sound comparison you’re comparing a under load single turbo launch to a free rev twin turbo also you didn’t show the dyno numbers after the build you only showed stock numbers
Review Adam's compound lol
single turbo everyday of the week
if you actually watched adam build the car and not just watch clips you'd know Johan AAAALLways backpurges. you dont even know that this was pretty much all done in house by his own workers. talk about just having a stab in the dark mate XD
you can clearly see he's welding the pipes occasionally without a purge. 8.24 and 8.30 for example
FYI this R34 GTR is round the High 500 to low 600hp and not what was mentioned in the beginning
You clearly didn't watch the entire video, he showed the cars new power figures towards the end.
But this car is over 600 tho🤔
more maybe 300k
Ummm you failed to show the real Dyno numbers, after all was said and done it was over 600hp
Watch till the end before you speak 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏼♂️
Single turbo sounds way better.
Bro do some volume matching of your vids ... Adams aidio5is like 10x gain then yours 😂
Thanks for the objectivity in evaluating this build. Its easy for people to get fooled by influencers by flashy expensive parts that it automatically qualifies as a good build. Those titanium pie cuts stood out as an example of the oversight for visual impact than actual longevity.
Have you ever seen this thing go? With ignition cut off during shifts this thing pulls hard
Ultra tuning the ultra clout goblin make some of your own content bruh
You are wrong about the "week" welds from Johan do your research better. We all make mistakes tho not a biggie but Johan is one of the best out there.
You can weld 99% of something perfectly, but then that last 1% if its welded without a purge, then it compromises the whole part. Watch the video 8.24 and 8.30
This guy has no idea about what he's saying!!!
Could you explain why?
"pro tuner" hahahah how can a "pro tuner" compare sounds on a car, when one is free reving and another is under load, depends on type of exhaust, is the engine stock placement, open wastegate. so many factors. this video is not right.
Both cars are compared under load and free revving. If you've been around GTR's and RB26's enough you can clearly tell the difference. Plus, I did say it maybe didn't come through that well on the video. Thanks for taking the time to comment though ✌
As a long-term and multiple Skyline owner, I'm not all that impressed with his build. Basically, it's a stage 1 setup, but because of his popularity, it's being greatly overhyped. And honestly, because of my experience, I know where he is cutting corners, so I'm not impressed. But for those that aren't as familiar, I can understand why and how they are easily influenced. What's really sad is the car is illegal and subject to seizure at any moment.
Where did he cut corners?
It's Adam LZ, all his simp fangirls will say how great it is
You cant deny its a great build
it's Adam LZ, all his schizo haters will hate on everything he does.
lmao what is this review
