@@wihan2013 You were actually right the first time. An octave has 12 semitones, a 5th has 7. Normal power chords use 5ths, but Gojira use 4ths, which are 5 semitones. Since a 4th isn't quite as stable as a 5th, your brain kinda "completes" the chord by imagining a lower octave of the higher note: root-4th turns into root (not real)-5th (actually root)-octave (actually 4th). This creates an illusion of a lower tuning and beefier chords. This illusion isn't too strong, but it definitely changes the feel of a riff a lot

Et leurs musique uniquement instrumental en acoustique peuvent aussi avoir de la gueule (je pense notamment à terra inc ou wild healer^^)
