- A decadent almond, saffron, cardamom, and rose flavored dessert to celebrate special occasions with the ones you love.
recipe (serving size:8)
Cake:
1/4 cup yogurt
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs
3 cups almond powder (or flour)
1/2 all purpose flour
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp rose water
1/2 tsp saffron
1 tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cardamom
pinch of salt
Syrup:
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk

Do you use almond flour or fresh almond powder? And same amount of saffron?
I used fresh almond as you saw in the video. You can replace it by the almond flour if you don’t have access to almonds.

What can i replace the almond and the almond flour with?
Hi, this recipe is for almond cake. In future I’ll post similar cake with wheat flour which is called Share-bat cake. You make it with flour and soak the cake with syrup.

Hi, If I want to use all flour instead of almond How many cups. Do I need to add another 1/2 cup of flour or not?

@@Taatcooking Thanks for getting back to me. If I use only all purpose flour it should be only 3cups no additional 1/2C
I used 1C almond and 2C all purpose flour and my cake came out a little condense, but very tasty with good aroma!!. How can I make it more moist? BE SAFE😆
@@n.mirrezaph.d.4387 this will be totally different recipe. I assume since almond nut is oily, that leads to have a moist cake with less flour. If you add more all-purpose flour with the same recipe you will get denser structure. You may need to add more oil or yogurt. I have never tried it. I am just giving my thoughts 💭
