so the backup camera red and black wire should connect to the green and black on the rear light, right? Not sure if those wires are also the same wires from your fog light, so I'm a bit confused.
I connected the green wire from the reverse camera to the red wire to the reverse light wire & connected the black wires together. For the rear fog light I connected the positive and negative wires to the brake light wires so the fog light stays on all the time instead of when I press the brakes
damn that looks like a lot of work for a freaking camera. I'm def not looking forward to this. So two questions, is there another way to run the cables from the camera into the car without lossening the bumper. Also instead of hooking it up to the reverse lie to gain power is there another way? I ask because I bought the reverse ground delay thing that allows me to operate my unit even in motion and I'm wanting to get power to the camera at all times. thx
I'm having trouble to install back up camera DIY if i connect my yellow wire to reverse camera hole in the unit then its not showing Anything.. but if i put the yellow av wire to av/dvd hole in the unit then it shows my rear view but it i have to play DVD if i want to do this.. so if im driving my screen is blank because its not reversing.. so red wire were not needed for front and back??? so just need to connect black and red wire to reverse tail light?
I have that problem to, when I connected one end of the yellow av cable my screen it turns black and when I reverse it shows me the reverse view. The only way I can get the black screen to not show is I go to the rear view camera setting on my double din and turn it off. But your saying that it only turns on when you play a dvd?

What was the red wire on the video cable used for? Did you just cap it or attach it to the reserve purple wire from the nav system?
I'm not really sure what it's for, so I just capped it.

Yea it works, no the lines don't bend as I'm reversing if that's what you mean
