I bought a Workshop12 kit and tablet. Then the AuCar thing came out. Considered putting that in instead. Decided that, in the end, a drivers car shouldn't have a screen. Sold the workshop12 and sticking with the cubby.
I have bose and it is better than just good. Suck ass? Definitely not. If you have nav and bose it is good. Question is how good is AuCar with this setup. Eric won't be able to answer that as his 370z didn't come with that setup
Ordered one cant wait for it to arrive! mainly will be using apple car play Have you experience any difficulty/problems using apple car play or anything with the tesla screen?
Congrats man! None so far that I've noticed with Apple CarPlay but i preferred the wired connection with my Android Auto because of the clarity of display resolution.
Bro, you don't know how many times I've looked at these screens from Nifty and Aucar these few weeks. I'm leaning toward Aucar since it is better priced. I've been wanting to get rid of that awful stock infotainment blutooth and mic. Also if you ever in SoCal come thru and we can go through the mountains ⛰️
Thanks! I placed the antenna in the middle of the dashboard there's a small square space behind the 3 gauges and then fed the wire around the dash just pushing it between the crevice to the passenger side A pillar down to the glove box and then into the back of the head unit. I'll probably make another video about it too
Hey Eric, I bought the unit along with the rear camera…I have morimoto taillights. Do I have to connect the camera to the rear lights or can I do it another way? Not sure how you did your rear camera. Thank you 🙏🏼
Sick! I personally haven't but there's a handful of people that I know that uses it. I'll get tuned this year so I'll definitely get a go at it. And yes, you'll have to pay for the service
I have been confused about dual power buttons on the bottom of the AuCar head unit. Why? Seems strange to me. I could review what you said here but I would like to just to clarify. The right power knob does fan of and on and fan speed perhaps?
Can you control the volume and everything else from the steering wheel? And also when you connect your phone to it can you receive phone calls through the car speakers
Thanks for the video. I've a 2017 370Z that I bought brand new. I want to keep the car as long as possible. In the interior, the only mod I want is a bigger screen. So the Aucar tesla-style screen is exactly what I want.
I got the NiftyCity Tesla screen on May 2023. It works perfectly. It's definitely worth the money. Everything works (Steering wheel controls, Bose speakers, A/C, etc) because the OEM cables connect to the screen. So everything OEM that was working will continue to work in the Tesla screen.
frankly; something the stock radio size would be great for my use case, i just hate the big screen. but i'd prefer to be able to still pull up my reverse cam on demand/while driving because that back glass is abhorrent trying to see through
Eric venZon always appreciate the vids. Going through some toughts on stuff for the Z. I need the tablet upgrade to replace the Nav sys. Then was thinking about radar detectors & dashcams. Any knowledge how the radar detector/speedtrap/accident apps and maybe a dashcam app (to tie all this together) works with this. Lastly what do you think the install will cost is for those of us than can't do it ourselves. Cheers!!!
Hey man! Thanks for watching! I've seen somebody use Valentine Radar Detector with the app in our Facebook group. Installation would probably cost around $80-$200 (but check with your local car audio tech) as a standard headunit install.
Bro. Just found your channel. I’m 1 min into the video and I gotta say this. AWESOME WORK. Haven’t gotten to the actual 370z content yet but your production technique and overall vibe on camera is SPOT ON. you are going to take off! Keep up the great work and if you don’t already consider starting another channel with a broader audience than just 370z content because you could make a ton on RUclips! Anyway just wanted to say super solid work!
In Classic Mode, I haven't seen anywhere to change the wallpaper. In Modern Mode, you can tap and hold the home screen and it will give you options to change the wallpaper. For the most part, you can download a picture, go to the File Folder, and find your image and click the option icon (three dots) and set as wallpaper.

@@ItsEricVenzon that doesn't mean anything if the processor in it is garbage. I can't seem to find a solid review of this thing where people are actually swiping around on it.

Erics cool as hell, and I appreciate all he does on here, but I purchased one of these for my 370z and one for an accord, and they BOTH have problems right out of the gate, mostly with hvac controls, and screen problems. All the manufacturer does is attempt to toss software update darts at them to mitigate the issues, which don't work when they are mechanical problems. Trying to explain this to aucar is something they take as insulting. I dunno, some of those Chinese aucar folks can be quite cantankerous in attitude. Anyhow, I myself from personal experience with these things warn yall against spending so much on one, unless you don't mind the migraines that come with them, because lemme say, they DONT just "plug & play" as they make look so simple in their advertisements. Love your 370 content Eric, keep it up 🤙
Before nifty, i was definitely going to do brainiac but with how easy it is to install and setup, you might as well go with nifty. The ambient lighting and onboard HVAC controls are a plus.
You are funny, educational, and entertaining. He will go places.

the bose suck too
