Okay I’m not even done watching but I just have to say as a mom of 5 (i know you know this but hear it from me) forget the outside world and what they say. Breastfed, bottle fed… as long as she is fed is what’s best. You don’t owe anyone any explanation. You are her mom and YOU know what’s best for her. You look absolutely beautiful and my heart melted at your expression when you heard her cry. I LOVE this chapter for you!! I am so thrilled for you, you’re doing so amazing and it’s okay if the house is a wreck… it won’t be that way forever. It’s only temporary so try not to stress it. Lots of love and hugs from a long time subscriber not so far away in Rochester❤❤❤ it’s so nice to see your face again! Also take a break from IG if it’s at all triggering your mental and emotional health. It’s not even the real world. xo

I don’t even understand why that is a thing. The food is right there just go eat. Just like going to the bathroom. Go to the bathroom! Go take a shower! The only thing I can understand is the not being able to sleep as much as you want but other than that. Just go do the things you need to do. It’s not that serious.

It’s really not that complicated to understand. You have no time to grocery shop, cook, do dishes and eat because your baby wants to be held nonstop/cries/what’s attention. Sometimes getting a two minute shower in is a struggle. I remember being in the postpartum phase and not having time to eat all day starving. Either a) you never had a baby b) your baby napped great independently during the day c) you had lots of support and help. Either way that’s not the case for all of us so save the negative comments and f* off

    • @anitathompson326
      @anitathompson326 Год назад +3

@@monikamarciniak8166 I’ve had 4 babies but thanks. And telling me to eff off, real classy. My babies fussed and cried. As all babies do. And everyone has spent type of help. You either have the child’s father or someone else in your life to help you. You couldn’t do it 100% alone cause that either means you are going to work everyday and have child care or you are staying at home with the baby. Which means someone else is involved as staying home generates no money. Sooooo….set the baby down for a few minutes to get things done. Even if they fuss they will be ok for a few minutes to shower or do what you need to do. My child fussed when put down so I found innovative ways to soothe her to be by herself out of necessity. And it worked. Just being frustrated all day holding a baby isn’t good for anyone. What is the point? Don’t act like it’s an impossible feat to bathe or eat a sandwich. You aren’t a special snowflake. Mothers get things done and without feeling sorry for ourselves either. Grow up.

Someone once told me "the fact that you worry that your a bad mom means you really aren't one because you care", it's so normal to feel this way in this huge life shift into motherhood, we actually mourn the loss of our old selves while starting this new journey as a mom and it takes time! A lot of it ! Remember, you are doing enough! and this phase isn't forever.
Also my advice is to wait until you are 100% sure your done with kids before doing the breast surgery bc they change even more after the second one😩😩

Oh my gosh…I never comment, but I felt like everything you said was EXACTLY how I felt 15 years ago. My daughter was fussy, I had to supplement a little with formula, my house was a mess, it was hard to get anything done, and I felt like a failure. I cried in the driveway when my mom went home…afraid I would mess everything up. I look back now….my daughter is 15…and wish I could hug myself and you, and just tell you how awesome you are! You and Tommy have been entrusted with Noel because YOU know exactly what she needs…no one else.
You are her mother, and you will always make decisions that are the best for her.
You are so beautiful…inside and out. I love your transparency. The world needs more of that.
Congratulations!! Motherhood is the best journey!

Everything you are mentioning with her being fussy and not sleeping as well is normal. I had the same exact experience and it was very hard. You feel like you are the only one going through these struggles and your baby is the only one fussy and doesn’t sleep. It’s simply not true. So many people go through these same exact things. I learned this as my son got older and saw so many new moms going through the same thing but in that moment, you feel so alone and like you must be the only doing it wrong. You’re not mama. You are doing great. Give yourself all the grace. You will get through and things will get better. Eventually she will start sleeping better and will be happier. My son slept on my chest for 3 months straight. I get it. Keep doing your best to get through each day and it will always be enough. ❤ Hugs!

    Congrats!!!!!
Anxiety and depression are normal when we become 1st time moms. My son was 1 month premature and was in the hospital for 1 month. Going home without a baby was the most traumatizing experience ever, I was only 21 and i spent everyday in the hospital. I would go to the hospital from 8am to 9pm the entire time he was in there, mind you I had a c section. But I sat in that hospital chair everyday, when he was sent home he was sent home with a apnea machine because he was premature. He had an episode at home where he stopped breathing and the machine went off, long story short I was a hot emotional mess. To make matters worse I wasn’t producing any milk, and was unable to breastfeed so felt awful about that. He is now 13 and I still worry, still cry, he’s currently at a party and my anxiety is thru the roof. But the great amazing moments and the memories built are worth it. I love him so much, he’s literally my best friend 💙

Hey Steph! Congratulations!!! I’m so relieved for you she’s healthy! I have a boy ( now 15) and a girl ( now 12) and my daughter was born with a rare congenital heart defect. We found out 26 weeks into the pregnancy. Thankfully she’s super healthy now , she had two open heart surgeries which repaired her but boy what a ride it was. Motherhood and postpartum life is hard enough! My son, was my colicky baby. Wouldn’t let me put him down, only wanted to be held or would scream. He improved at 4 months old though. But yeah life was a shit show I couldn’t even brush my teeth or get anything together. These kids teach you so much about yourself and it’s such a roller coaster ride. Try and stay as present as possible it’s more true than we could even believe that it goes too fast. But it certainly doesn’t feel like it when you are sleep deprived, I know! The best piece of advice I could give you might not be the usual stuff you are hearing but I wish you would listen to this information and I wish someone had shared anything about it with me. I didn’t research anything to do with pediatric injections and it’s my biggest regret that I’ve made with my children. I knew zero, researched zero, and trusted the system. I think no matter what we decide we owe it to our children and their one body to at least research this issue. Many blessings for her continued health and much love for your family!

But anyway I just wanted to thank you for being REAL about what can REALLY happen. I find you so BRAVE to discuss this painful personal subject. I'll keep you, Tommy & baby girl in my prayers!!! Love you girl! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Please don’t compare yourself to others. You’re not going to ever feel like you are good enough or have your stuff together. That’s what mom life is. It’s the hardest job you will ever have it doesn’t end 24/7 and just when you get the hang of it life throws you a surprise. See your doctor about being stressed before it gets to overwhelming and you got this. ❤

Best advice I can give you as a mom of two teens…. Everything is about a “season” . Nothing is permanent and things will change when you “think” you kinda have it figured out. Go with the flow and enjoy it ALL ❤❤

Thank you for being so open and honest! I related to so much of what you said as my daughter is also a strong willed, highly spirited, not chill little one. 😊 They are so special and such fun…and it’s hard! I did contact naps for months, tried everything, never had time to do stuff around the house, and I also felt like I was failing when I saw other moms who seemed to handle everything so easily. You aren’t alone! I try to remind myself that it’s okay to do what works for us and to trust myself and to trust her. You are an amazing mom and are doing an awesome job!

Congratulations! First off You look amazing. I loved how honest you were about how hard having a newborn is. After having my daughter I was open and honest with my friends about my experience because I wish people would have told me what it was really like. Everyone always makes it seem so easy and great. When you are the one struggling it makes you feel like you are a failure. I also supplemented with formula. It does get easier! Hang in there. You are doing great!

Girl Instagram is basically designed to make us all feel bad about ourselves. Motherhood is not all bliss there are parts that you can hate about it and it doesn’t make you a bad person or mother. I haaaated my dog for the first 6 months? Even though he was our baby before and I felt so much guilt but it’s so common. You are rocking this it’s hard af and never going to be perfect like people portray on social media. ❤

Girl, about the fussiness - IT.WILL.GET.BETTER!! I had the same experience and thought I’m the only one with an “unhappy” baby and I realize now it was just temporary. They kind of mature a little bit drastically around 12-14 weeks and they will start eventually smiling and giggling and will calm down! ❤❤❤

Be gentle with yourself in every way possible. Hang in there! My first baby girl just turned 20 and I’ve survived… (so far!) and sometimes it really just feels like survival and that’s at all ages and stages. And if it makes you feel any better, I just got down to my circa 2003 pre first pregnancy weight and I just turned 40. You’ve got lots of time Mama. Enjoy that sweet baby. ❤

Congratulations!! 🎉 no mother should ever shame another mother for using formula! Both my babies struggled to breastfeed and it was so painful. With my first born I cried my eyes out and sent her dad to the store because I had to give up trying to breast feed. I found out years later that it’s typical for neurodivergent babies to struggle with breastfeeding. And I fully support you and tommy keeping her image private for soooo many reasons. Even though we’d love to see her better safe than sorry. More parents need to realize how important it is to keep their children and babies off social media and your supporters should respect that. PS you look beautiful❤

Beautiful mama! I've felt compelled to share, my son hardly ever slept it was so so hard! He didn't like the swing or anything etc, the only thing that worked was literally pushing him around the house in the stroller with white noise hooked to carseat. My sister in law recommended it to me & she has 6 kids. I felt so lost because nothing was working, I'm so grateful for it, It literally saved my life! Thinking of you, been waiting for your post!
