I love James Blunt! He is an amazing man and his songs are unique. He has a wonderful voice, heart, and soul and likes a good laugh. The emotions are so infectious that you find yourself feeling them with him. I love the new album, but then I love all his work so far. Those who hate on him have the option of listening to something else. I prefer my music with its soul intact. ❤
Isn’t it odd how a few people took a dislike to James and the sheep followed. His current film gives a great insight into his life as a soldier and musician. His family are great too. Dad was also a soldier. I love James’ voice - singing and speaking. How refreshing to hear someone who actually speaks well and not trying to be a mockney. He has is knockers, but they are just sad has beens and the sheep who follow them.
I think we all can learn from James Blunt he really has got the right attitude to life: admit your floors Be kind to others, don’t take yourself seriously and keep your feet on the ground. I loved him in 2004 and I love him now not for his fame but for his sense of humour and natural talent well done Captain Blunt you indeed have gone full circle. Brilliant interview ❤
I'm mind boggled by the vitriol over a fellow musician's successful first album. Wow. Never knew. And seriously so many of James Blunt's songs have struck a cord in my life experiences. May not rock your socks off but they do so very much more.
I still love this tweet from James, after the sad news that Keith Flint from the Prodigy had taken his own life: "At the Q Awards years ago, when @NoelGallagher was saying he was leaving Ibiza because I’d moved there, and @DamonAlbarn refused to be in the same picture as me, and @PaulWellerHQ was saying he’d rather eat his own shit than work with me, Keith Flint came over, gave me a hug, and said how thrilled he was for my success. Keith, I only met you once, but I shed a tear at the news of your death. In our business, there are no prizes for being kind, but if there was, that Grammy would be yours."
The hate he got was definitely disproportionate. I don't ever recall him being caught up in any scandals or acting in bad faith either. Just happened to make songs that weren't to everyone's taste. He seems really open about his past mistakes and naivety too, which is refreshing...definitely a lot of arrogant artists out there who could learn to do the same.
