I share the sentiment omg. I work as graphic designer in advertising agency and it was insane. The workload is insane, the deadline is insane and the expectation is unrealistic. Sometimes it makes me questioning my ability "Can I even do graphic design?" LOL
I feel like that's 70% at least of Tech companies. Most timelines are pushed from the way down, not from the way up 😅
“DON’T LOOK AT ME!” LOL so relatable 😂 Thanks for sharing and being transparent! I really appreciate all your videos. I’m 26 and am hoping to switch fields to the UX industry. It’s a scary time for sure but I’m trying to embrace the uncertainty & take the risk for a better future.
Sending love to another San Diegan ❤ Thanks for being our big UX sister! 🙂
Okay you are so sweet, thank you! That’s the best attitude and being in your 20’s is a great time to explore and experiment! Yay Sd love
it's wild how much a PM partner can make or break your experience on a team.
Actually I have experience in ux and design for over 13 years. And I hope to change this career it’s too hard, and all the time you work under pressure and all the time thinking of the deadlines. I ask God to help me to change this career to something better. Thank you!
I start my first ux role on Monday and I am here for this transparency. My bootcamp failed to mentioned how different companies approach users and designs. Thank youuuuuu!!!!
You got this! Thanks for watching 😊

Thank you so much!!
Getting a job as a UX Designer is even harder
Preach. It can be mentally exhausting managing the macro and micro all at once. Sometimes you just have to stare a some trees or water to reset your brain!
that is so true! need remind myself to take a mid-day walk to spark creativity
Absolutely awesome and real takes on it! We neeeed to have more conversations about this other side of the path honestly!
Collaboration is definitely hard, so many people their own personal preference or end up just getting they way because they’ve outspoken the minority or they are in a higher position than you. Or when you have some that are fixated on a brand and want everything to follow their style regardless of what foundations you have set up.
Going to start learning ux design to leave my current career and just watched to see if the cons were bad enough 😅
tbh i was a UXer for 2+ years and i absolutely hated it and trying to change careers.
All she want is make the deaigns and throw them on the developer shoulders 😂😂 all of what you don’t want to do which you mentioned here is what actually makes a better designer vs the worst designer
Absolutely love your truly honest insight.
Thank you!
You look like The Asian version of Kourtney Kardasian girl😍
Big Sis keep it a buck fifty
It's a fcking hustle
Hey guys! I need your help. I'm slowly learning about UX/UI. Currently, my university degree is more focused on economics, administration, systems, and software, but to be honest, I'm not really into that. I want to learn UX/UI, I want to work in this field. Can someone recommend a bootcamp or course I could take? Or maybe a book, RUclipsr, or any resource? I just need information. And yes, I know practice is key, so I've started using Figma. Thanks a lot, and have a great day!
I FEEL YOU. Been a designer (graphic design/art direction, now trying to get into UX) for about 20 years and im switching careers at 42 Y.O.! sometimes I wonder if Im sane for continue on this path.
