Agreed, I never quite understood all the hype about the Cobra helicopter, it is not nearly as maneuverable as the BO-105 or the Apache, -the rotor head is not designed well for aerobatics. The flying in this video is at the ragged edge of this ships capability. Now, in its intended role, I am sure it does well.
I appreciate your explanations of how agility is not necessarily a factor in the combat role it is designated for. The mere point I was trying to make was that a teetering underslung rotor system has some inherent disadvantages from an agility standpoint when compared to a semi-rigid or rigid head design, that is all. I am also aware of the importance of maintaining positive loading on the AH-1 as it can be prone to mast bumping. That said, I think the demonstration "show" flying displayed in THIS example fell a bit short. Thanks again for taking the time to explain.
Totally agree, I have seen a quite better show here a lot of years ago by the military and they did much better than this crap and can't even remember which helicopter was but definitely way cheaper than this... they risked going against the ground falling at high speed and push up at the limit almost touching the ground and so many other shit...
Sad we are not gonna see this sight anymore
That's not damaged, that's destroyed. Having a ground guide would have prevented this.
It has been repaired and is back in service
Messed this baby up. Only experience with cobras was in Vietnam . Built tough and flown hard. Backed me up on nighthawk missions.
Why last flight
It wasn’t the pilot’s fault, a building ran out in front of him.
You could tell something was seriously wrong with it, it was trailing alot of smoke for a long time
azspotfree That was Airshow smoke. Just a little correction ;)
@@cobrahueyindustries9543 I know, I was just being a smart ass
They probably put in the wrong ratio of 2 stroke oil
You all don't know anything,, that smoke is a classic sign of bad muffler bearings
I'm not a big fan of the smoke cannons. It just makes it look like something is horribly wrong with the helicopter.
Imagine flying to this degree of expertise only then to land to close to a building and clipping it with your rotor blades. No excuse.
VERY GOOD SHOW from Brasil
This “pilot” had a few issues in the past!
Same pilot that almost crash performing low flight.
He almost had a dynamic rollover in one show. Careless pilot.
Crash??? didnt crash.. he hovered to close to a building and ground level while landing until the main rotors started to pull apart the building
yes it is not a crash, it is stupidity of pilot who tried to park helicopter into garage
Yup. Just blame the building, heli, wind, even squirrel if there any. People never wrong, especially this pilot. Lmao.
This pilot has almost crashed from a dynamic rollover in the past. Hes a careless moron
Why would a pilot land and try to get that close to a building
It's it me or is this chopper cursed.
No. But the pilot is. Lol
@@liutenantghost nah the chopper
No one was injured. The chopper was a loss. He clipped the side of a building after he had landed.
The finishing move was absolute gold, rapid deconstruction can be a difficult finisher.
At 4:07, I saw a contrail of a jumbo jet high up!
Redbull gives you wings, not rotors.
www.dumpert.nl/mediabase/7170915/5259f13f/kan_nog_wel_een_stukje_hierheen.html for a video of (the start of) the incident.
Seems like with helicopters it's only a matter of time, kind of like when you ride a motorcycle.
Sooooooooooooooo..do you want ketchup or mustard on your hamburger today? Thank you for making Wendys your choice today...
Bruh
Did not se the crash, but I saw smoke shooting out of the helicopter and it is fluttering around like a out of control flying drone!😮
I only saw that the heli was destroyed
That's one way to quit your job. Hope the pilot was ok.
Hmmmmmm...... Maybe it was just a spectacular finish to a really good show.
That’ll buff out.
Redbull donne des ailes !
Yeah, I see your problem right here! Your thingamajig is disconnected from your whatchamacallit!
so sad
That'll buff out!
s`Vordächle isch Schuld..................
If he had an apache he wouldn't have crashed. Lol.
thats pilot fault
This is simply a transmission change method.
Show??? Its boring.
