    It's a nice suite but they have update that area where the fridge is. Update the counter tops and appliances. Put some color in that room. I know the video was several years ago but at that time how much was it per night?

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  Год назад +1

      I think it was around $700 per night then with my Platinum discount.

    I've never ever wanted to stay at the Luxor however I love to play pool and have been eyeing this room for my birthday this year in september! I can get it for around $500/night which is quite reasonable

    the kitchen was pathetic, a 1980's mr coffee maker...must be a butlers kitchen,,,rest of suite amazing..

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  5 лет назад +5

      Luxor doesn't have butlers. Honestly most kitchens or butler's pantries are average. Luxor isn't a high end hotel, however, like most hotels their highest end suites aren't reflective of the experience the average guest will get. I'd highly recommend a Penthouse at Luxor though, 80's Mr. Coffee and all.

    What a beautiful suite. I don’t get why only one bed though, the point of booking a suite is for guests, what’s the point if they have nowhere to crash

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  5 лет назад +1

      It is. This is one of the largest one bedroom suites in Vegas. Actually the whole point of suites like this is generally to accommodate VIP guests that are used to living in places with a lot of space and amenities vs packing as many people in as possible. My wife and I were the only ones who slept in it. I got a small suite comped for a friend to stay in as well. We just hung out here for a few minutes after seeing a Hockey game and before going to dinner.

      @PKPhoenix83  5 лет назад +2

      @@callmefrog76 Haha. VIP's are what these suites were designed to accommodate when Luxor was owned by Circus Circus Enterprises/Mandalay Resorts Group. Now under MGM as Luxor is positioned on the lower end or their totem pole of resorts, it isn't so exclusive. The renovated 2 Bedroom is though. Day of for reservations.

      PK is right; the vast majority of suites in Vegas are not set up to accommodate more than one or maybe two couples. They're not meant for large groups (absent a few exceptions, and things like connecting room options), instead they're a luxury option for normal-sized parties who want more space and might entertain some guests.

      @@PKPhoenix83 The Tower Rooms/Suites were for the comped guests back when Luxor was the top of the line property, for Circus Circus Enterprises: your right, it is so sad the decline under MGMMirage!

    Did you ask for a comp upgrade or is this what you booked? Looks nice!

      My wife and I originally booked their slightly larger but unrenovated 2 Bedroom Penthouse. About a week before we checked in, I noticed that the 1 Bedroom renovated Penthouses were available for booking (just not on my date) and maybe two days later, Mlife automatically changed our reservation to this.

      As far as the butler kitchen goes, I could care less, as long as my Host stocks the fridge with Alcohol :)

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  5 лет назад

      @@bamaboy9127 Some of the 2 bedroom Pents have a pool table. There is also a 2 Bedroom that is about 1,000 sq/ft larger than the standard ones. Like mine it has a dark brown double door. The regular Pents have the beige double doors. This one also has a pool table. This special Pent is host/casino approval only unless you upgrade day of. I think rack on it is about $1,400 a night.

      @@PKPhoenix83 I know the one we stayed in was huge, 4k sq ft. No pool table, room was nice, could have used some updating, but overall was definitely the biggest Suite we ever stayed in. Only drawback is you are a ways away from the casino floor. Do like the views in the room, able to see in three directions. I wouldn't know price, they comp everything. I just pay them back with my gambling. :)

      It is oftentimes held for high rollers. Hard to get on a weekend.
      Look at Flamingo, Bally's Harrah's, Paris for cheaper rates on large suites.
