  • Had a chance to stay in the one of a kind 4 Bedroom Presidential Suite at Mandalay Bay. Here is a very detailed walkthrough of the suite.
    The Suite is 5,610 sqft, 4 Bedrooms, 5 Bathrooms spread out over two stories.
    A lot of people like to say "this is the best suite in the hotel", well ladies and gentlemen, this actually is.

    love Mandalay Bay! I was checking in at MB for a several nights stay for work, front desk asked if I wanted to upgraded to top suite level at the Delano, I said sure, I still have no idea why I was upgraded, just really appreciated the hospitality and fantastic room

      The sad irony here is that Mandalay Bay doesn't have some massive room service menu to go with this massive suite. I had to argue with the room service people just to get table service vs a to go bag delivered. Wynn still has the best in town excepting certain villas. Now if you add the butler service for $500 a night they can get you food from any restaurant on property. But we didn't need one for this stay.
      I saw your other comment, it isn't hard to get luxury and value in Vegas. Traveling off peak and knowing what you want helps. Thanks for watching.

      Hi Paul. THANKS for the info! I was reading one of your conversations with another subscriber and i think you mentioned that a suite/pent may be had for only 25% of rack on a slow/off season night. Did I read that correctly? Do you have to get something like that at the last minute? I'm retired so budget is a big deal. Appreciate your expertise in this area!

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  Год назад +1

      @@boomertuber8878 When it comes to upgrading, negotiate. Book a room you'll be happy in, know what suite types the hotel has and what you'd like to upgrade into, then ask at chdck in. Let them offer a price and if it is doable take it. If it's a bit high for you ask if they can come down in price a little. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just like any business deal. Being knowledgeable and most importantly friendly to the front desk people is important. Don't ever make their job harder than it is.

      I've stayed in a Skyline Terrace Suite at MGM and a Bellagio Grand Lakeview Suite with balconies. The terrace can be cool except when it is incredibly windy or scorching hot. My wife would hate it when it is cold, that's when I love it. I have vids of those too.
      I've hung out in friends Wrap Around at Cosmo. The balcony is awesome but the suite is meh. If I had to stay there would only be in a Penthouse with a terrace, Lanai or Bungalow Suite. Almost booked a Bungalow once but cancelled that trip anyway.

    • @PKPhoenix83
      @PKPhoenix83  2 года назад +5

      Best thing I can tell you is be smart with your money. We charge basically everything to credit cards and use points from them, but pay them off in full every month so we pay no interest. So a credit card might have an annual fee of say $95 but it comes with a free room per year too. The points we earn allow for more free rooms or airline miles, etc. We finance things at very low interest rates because we both have excellent credit, so we can keep more cash on hand to invest in things that potentially can earn us a higher rate of return than saying paying for a car in cash.
      Not having kids helps too.
      You have to find what works for you. But, even if you are broke today remember, you don't just think about today but 5 or 10 years in the future of where you want to be and how you want to get there. IT will be by far the surest way to make money. If you are talented, the music industry can too. Just passed our CCW classes a few weeks ago, seems like a good way to make extra money too. Remember, you have to focus on what you really love most though or what is the majority of your income. Don't spread yourself too thin.
      Finally, never give up and never let other people or the world in general beat you down and tell you that you can't do something. Almost anything is indeed possible.

Originally just drove up to Flagstaff to see snow, and was going to come home to Phoenix. Ended up checking out Williams which was basically all closed down, realized it wasn't much more of a drive to Vegas vs going home.
      Since we've only lived in Phoenix a year, not like we have many friends. Decided to just say screw it and go someplace we'd have fun and where things would be open. Usually when we plan a Vegas trip I barely get any sleep the night before, wake wife up at 3 AM, push her out the door by 4 and we are there by 9 or 10 at the latest. Last minute isn't ideal but it also can be fun. The pandemic has made me realize you have to enjoy things in life when you can.

      I was laid off in April of 2020 thanks to the pandemic and still don't have a job. Almost everyone is struggling, albeit in different ways. We can all be different in our problems but in the same boat together.
      You have to realize, anything people spend is investing into other people. How many could Mandalay Bay employ because I stayed there? Do you not think everyone I tipped our was not happy and ultimately grateful for my stay? Without business, the company would fail, the economy would fail. I'm proud to have taken 12 trips to Vegas since 2020, many of them when the city and the employees were struggling and uncertain. I love the people of Vegas and want them and the businesses they work for to succeed. Spending money with them is how that happens.
      You are also making assumptions that I Scrooge money away and don't do nice things for people. Simply because we try to enjoy our lives to the fullest, especially during a very challenging time at best, doesn't mean I don't care. What I do or don't do with our money is our business. Unlike so many fake people I don't need nor want public adulation over acts of charity and kindness. I prefer quiet, meaningful, personal moments.
