    I designed a one of a kind tiny house inspired by my boat Arianrhod a 1979 Morgan 382. We turned that design into a kit house and I built the first one ever! this Tiny house on wheels is built on a beastly 3 axel trailer and features many subtle design aspects that only some one who has lived long term in tiny spaces would know to add. And one of the few incredible tiny houses that I have designed. Stay tuned for more videos about the rest of the construction of the house! And even though this is one of those influencer brand deals I have to be honest with you guys and tell you the truth.

      👍Love ya mate. I think that they supplied you an untested product. You as the customer / manufacturer / reseller should be able to demand that your product be made to a certain specification. Your expectation was that they would supply a tested design. You as the designer maybe needed to be more exacting in your specifications. What could be the big takeaway is that you can now go and make exact specifications as to how your design should manufactured and supplied. IE walls bundled, correct instructions, fixing points in the correct locations etc. More work for you but you then will have a very complete product that you can sell and market that is distinct from trailer made trailers. Or find someone else to manufacture the tiny home part and just purchase the trailers from trailer made. Maybe we will catch up in Annapolis this year.

      Dylan, I don’t think you were too hard on anyone, maybe yourself. I must say though that the graphics and videos that you used to express your angst and otherwise opinions in emotional ways done by others is quite distracting and not very business appropriate. As an influencer and an artiste of your own lifestyle and channel here there is full on expectation that you would do what you want to, but when you’re dealing with business and really want to get some points across maybe you don’t really need all that extra stuff. I understand why you did it because it helps you express yourself better, and I appreciate that I’m a lot like that too~ I really do have the same feelings about when people pull crud ~~and you wanna be gracious and kind and they still don’t get it ~~and they’re just not gonna get it till you feel like you should insult them or some thing to get their attention to get them to do the right thing. In the real world in the recent past, it’s called a lawsuit.
      I think you just wanted the company to better than selves and to talk about the problems and they needed to fess up and say hey yeah we messed up and I’m sorry and how can we make this better to work together(?)

    • @FloatingOrbProductions
      @FloatingOrbProductions  Месяц назад +3

      A few things. One the video would be boring af if I didn’t honestly express myself, and as an artist self expression is the main goal.
      As far as the response I wanted from them, was to show that they wanted to do business together long term and that means being able to improve on their product and be able to provide us with a certain level of service. They said no, they said it’s good enough, they said “no one else has had problems” they said “take off your glasses and read the instructions”.
      On the business level they got emotional, offended and in their ego. Because of that they refused to see the situation from the perspective of the customer. I told them multiple times “I’m trying to make a smoother experience for the customer” because I was wanting to really promote these kits to
      You guys but I want you all to have the best experience and not a bunch of avoidable frustration because the company says “it’s good enough” 🤢

    • @Zukez
      @Zukez Месяц назад +2

      Love your content and watching your journey but to me this video seems too long, personal and salty. I get that the situation caused you a lot of stress and took a lot of time to make, but honestly I would take it down. Maybe give it some time and upload a shorter and less emotional version with less memes. You outline the things they did wrong clearly enough, but the way you are responding seems the opposite of gracious or taking it in stride and makes both of you look bad. I know it's hard to remove the emotion from situations like this, but you could keep it professional and walk through the build and struggles and have a "cons" section where you outline why you're disappointed, but still being the bigger person. I mean I got stressed just watching this video, it has a gross and tense vibe.

      @@FloatingOrbProductions Longtime subscriber to FLORB and your personal channel. You come off a bit... unhinged. The meme footage juxtaposed with the commentary is like a psychotic fever-dream (I guess on purpose?) I'm not sure you've made any points that seem to come from a credible source. I had to stop watching at ~15mins, I don't need this in my life. Clearly the trailer dude made you angry... but the video is madness. Again... I'm a fan, but it might be best if you take this video offline, be the bigger man. By all means, keep it on your harddrive, watch it often... by yourself. Not saying the guy wasn't a jerk, but working with sponsors may be harder or impossible to do in the future, I wouldn't want to work with you as a sponsor after seeing this. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the stuff you've made. I hope this comment doesn't sting too bad. Only 300 views at this point. I would cut your losses, safe in the knowledge that at least a few people got to understand how crazy this all made you.

      Houses aren’t built from kits though. If they spec a wall you grab wood until you have a wall framed. In this kit you need to grab a specific part because that’s the only one that will fit

    Hey heads I drive tractor trailer for a living and I hope you understand that 13’6 for height is not a suggestion most bridges and lot of roads require a height not taller than that. So uh good luck with moving it

    • @FloatingOrbProductions
      @FloatingOrbProductions  Месяц назад +1

      That’s why I’m getting a trucker GPS, to find my routes. And also why it being even taller is a problem. Over 14’ and you need a permit just to move it.

    • @joshg_irish8283
      @joshg_irish8283 Месяц назад +3

      Being tall is a problem because the industry adopted nation wide standard of 13’6 and from what I understand the national standard for any new bridge being built is 14 feet. But just make sure if you buy a truckers gps you have to set the settings for the dimensions because the default settings will assume you are 13’6. Also sometimes they have replaced roads under bridges and not changed the height. So if it looks close put your four ways on and get out and look because you don’t want to even know what a fine for hitting a bridge is.

    I actually have a great idea for that company. Why not make a video of them building the trailer. Hire someone to edit the video so someone buying the kit would a how to video instead of instructions. They could give a basics overview and breakdown into sections so you would a way to understand what you are doing. I think this is the problem anymore you cannot get help and basically no one stands behind their products

    • @joshg_irish8283
      @joshg_irish8283 Месяц назад +1

      Yeah I am saying the company who makes the trailer should hire someone to make a how to video for their kits. If they absolutely refuse to organize the panels for the customers even just a run through of what is what and how to organize it all could still save a lot of time. One thing you did not say in your video is if they will treat someone who is an influencer like this how will they treat a normal customer. If you are still thinking about building trailers to sell I would say it would be worth doing some leg work to find out how to put your own kit together. You could always buy trailers but put together all your own kits

    Maybe I am misunderstanding this... they gave you BluePrints specific to your project with generic instructions that go along with all their projects. I imagine on their end, they feel the detailed blueprints would be enough and the Extra instructions would be EXTRA to help you figure out how to complete the blueprints. I too can be an A hole when I am irritated about something... I think in this case you made things worse for yourself by being an Ahole with out understanding what was going on. Again, it looks like they gave you the blueprints that were specific to your build. I bet they are confused at how you think there should be more.
