  • We are excited to introduce a fully electric, solar van we are building for the artist Redfoo (formerly of the band LMFAO). We have been underground building this vehicle for quite some time and now it it time to share it with the world!

I have had an idea you might like, it is an expensive build but lots of potential. Start with a BYD 5T EV , it has a 126kw battery, tie in with 600 to 48V converter. The solar array you have is top notch, but you have the option of covering a side in solar too, maybe have it recessed. Low center of gravity, get a box with the attic, put bed up top, lots of room for any layout. Charge rate max is insane 114000 watts if it ever needed.

I'm curious if you've thought of making a PowerStation type trailer for the Cybertruck. The use case being for off-roading enthusiasts who only want to camp two or three days to get back to the off-roading fun.

Yes, we actually just mocked one up and shared it with our Patreon community!
We've had several inquiries from new Cybertruck owners.

I'm going to have the ability to put an 11kW generator either in the bed of my truck or on a trailer as a sort of series hybrid but I'm not thrilled with burning gas. I'd really like to make an aero shell out of curved panels like you used. Who makes them? I didn't catch the name of them when you said it. Thanks!

So cool! What's the purpose of the curved solar panels? Thank you for sharing!

It matches the curves of the vehicle better rather than having a square box on top of the van.

Hi. I only just found your channel. Saw the video of a trip with the older vehicle just yesterday. Still have the last 2 videos to watch.
I guess you don't have fold out panels under this curved panel? Or do you? You still have portable panels on the back.
Regardless, how does charging rate compare?
And what's the height of the now complete vehicle?
