@billh.1940 because it wasn't a corporate thing. It was niche, part of a bike culture. Pappy H and his wife Pearl, the Jackpine Gypsies started it, and it was rad. Then in the 1960s it was a counterculture thing. And that was cool too. That is not what it is now. It now is just about money and corporate greed. Yeah, it's still fun, but not the same.
You all think Sturgis has changed. Of course it has, but it has always been a freak show as you call it, and the bikes have always been creative and different. The crowd seems predominantly older, but that's dedication. I see this as a good time where people with similar likes can get together for a good time and a celebration of freedom on the open road. Presentation was spot on, moved around from place to place no narration excellent sound quality
Much appreciated! Safe travels!
In 1982 I rode up there from Bogue Chitto Mississippi on a 68/69/70 Harley 350 Sprint that I pieced together from a scrap pile behind Jefferies Harley Davidson shop. I rode all the way there.
Plenty of friendly freaks along the way back then. Great times!
Very cool! There are still lots of great people that come in fact I met some awesome people this year always do!! The nay sayers have a picture of the old days I've been going for 25 years only thing that changed is its safer and more spread out from main street. More people dress up maybe as well
Was ‘82 the only year you went?
Yes
@@christawilliams9116 One more question, do you still have the same bike?
No.
9:00, Who knew Moses was a biker. 😇
Lawd I Just Saw What You Was Talking About😂
It was better in the nineties but god bless America we can do what we want Navy Vet Midway CV-41 BT Mcveagh Burbank IL
Thanks for watching!! America is still the best country on earth.
Freak show. I live there.
I got friends in Blackhawk. They also say the same. The folks that call it a great time are the ones that don't know the difference
Barking Doggo living his Best life!
RAP "music" at Sturgis?? There aren't any black riders there!! Blues and Southern Rock, please!!
I got move videos coming
The woke joke😅
Rap is for white teens always was
They all go to Myrtle Beach S.C. and have their own freak show!
Thanks for posting ❤
Any time! Thanks for watching should have another video out tomorrow!!
You can t put that many people together and 8 dollar beers and not have big problems. Peace ✌️
Thanks.
You're welcome thanks for watching!! Might have a new video out tomorrow!
Looks like the mermaid parade in Brooklyn NY except this one’s on wheels
The reason I like this so much is I'm not there !
That guy with the python ( or Boa) , better keep him away from the monkey and little dogs 😂
Right!
We went when The old Full Throttle Saloon was still there. I think it was destroyed by fire a year afterwards. I've got videos of our trip on my channel. Got to see ZZ Top. It even snowed! Crazy fun! Thanks for posting.
Yeah I liked the old FTS better. The new one is still awesome though!! Didn't know zz top had played there!! Snow wow!! Thanks for watching I will have to check out your vids!! I saw zz top 25 years ago at the chip when things were a lot crazier!! Fun times!
@@TonyLightTravels It was in 2014 when we went. It was fun. I hated to know all that old memorabilia in the FTS burnt up! wow..... can't replace history like some of those things. We went up in the Badlands and it was awesome! There was a train museum too I have a video of and an awesome convoy we saw from a train ride. I shot the machine gun which was fun fun! Got it on my channel too. I'll check out your other videos. Happy days to you! Teri
They actually display the burnt motorcycles and different things at the new one as art almost and it is interesting!!
The bikers still rule!!! Without them this is non existant!!! They come here to enjoy each other's company and their love for their rides!!! 😼 😎
.... and people watching.... we all are people watching..... to sit and look what people are up to, dress, behave and ride... 😳
Couldn't agree with you more people watching is at its best in Sturgis all the bike shows are great as well, thanks for watching!! Safe travels
Mate of mine bought a place near Sturgis said to come there I like the riding but one day of looking around I’m not so sure if I’d ever go back
If u like to ride go for the ride and spend time with your buddy!!
A very balanced video, a little bit of everything, Thank you for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Omgosh I wish I was there...never have been...but someday I will
Next year is the 85th going to be huge as well!! You will, just start planning now and save money even if its 20 bucks a month cuz its expensive. ! Thanks for watching!!
Was there 12 years in a row, 79 thru 90. Loved it then, I don’t think I would care for it now.
Why?
@billh.1940 because it wasn't a corporate thing. It was niche, part of a bike culture. Pappy H and his wife Pearl, the Jackpine Gypsies started it, and it was rad. Then in the 1960s it was a counterculture thing. And that was cool too. That is not what it is now. It now is just about money and corporate greed. Yeah, it's still fun, but not the same.
Rode my Sportster from Oklahoma in '07.
Where everyone gathers for their mid life crisis.
I'm always sad when it's over and the crowds go home.
For sure, well said!! Thanks for watching More videos will be on the way making it sort of an extension to the rally!! Safe travels, have a excellent day!!
LOVE the little Butt Monkey best 👍👍👍.... I see several of these people never looked in the mirror before they went out on the sidewalks (lol)... OR maybe they did ?
Never been to Sturgis, thanks for posting this 👍
My pleasure 😊 thanks for watching more to come!!
Harley doesn't seem to be making many posts this Sturgis, I hear there is some controversy...
DEI and Equality in outcome, not based on merit. Harley corporate CEO and Board of directors has gone woke. Not what HD customers are about or wanting to support their beliefs.
I don’t go because I can’t stand big crowds. But I find the videos hilarious. 😂😂😂
Glad you find them entertaining, Sturgis Rally is one of my favorite events to experience, never a dull moment. Thanks for watching!!
I’ve never been there, don’t see any reason to ever go there now
You should it's something you just have to experience first hand
Still a lot of nice HD'S Show up miss the old days
I've got a couple bike show videos I need to make. Keep an eye out!! Thanks for watching!!
It appears the women showing the most skin are the ones that should’ve stayed home.
I grew up 30 minutes south of Daytona I always look forward to bike week because I used to mud race outlaw Pro stock in Samsula right across the road from new Smyrna Speedway is where we would race during bike week, but a lot of the bikers camped there as well lie the bikers would come over and watch the mud racing and they would come through the pits. I can tell you this without a doubt there were some of the best people that I have ever met at Young age. I learned valuable lesson never judge a book by its cover. They were hell a lot of fun to talk to and hang out with in the pits It was damn good times for sure
I always meet the best people at rallies as well!! Thanks for watching!!
A local gal Patti Jo Craig died out there during Sturgis this year. T boned a pickup truck with her Harley. I have to wonder if she would have survived if she would have been wearing a helmet. Bless her soul.
That's so sad. Yeah, it can be very dangerous on the roads in and around sturgis. We saw a few accidents and my heart goes out to all their family and friends.
I enjoyed watching your video
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!!
