I just made this box with some nice scrapbooking paper and it looks awesome ! I think that if you take a large enough piece of paper (like 40 x 40 or more), you could do a Washi Tape box.
I mean I waisted 1 piece of paper. It wasn't a fail but it wasn't a success. I used thick paper and it wouldn't shut properly. It took alot of time to close it so if I used it in school, it would take me too long and it's not too sturdy ether. But it does look cute and great for decoration!

I stamp my paper first if it is too plain before I start folding. Though you have to let it dry completely before you start folding it, just in case you smudge the ink designs :)
5:03, Don't pake exact fold, I did it and sides of my box just poped out a little bit, just leave 1,5-2mm and it should be fine, just give some space to help this box close correctly :P

It would be nice if you could provide written instructions. For example, where is the first fold supposed to be at? I could only guess what you are doing sometimes. It's not really a great tutorial for someone who's main goal is to do origami tutorials

If you have some washi tape, you could add some to the bit that overlaps.. or make an origami bow to stick on? 😀

If you're having trouble with the last few steps, put it on 0.5x speed, it helped me

:) are you asking what paper to use? If so, any paper is fine, thin or thick, even thin card will be ok :) thanks for your comment :D
