Super high quality mic! It very much maybe worth the money! There are some mics from Audio Technica that are comparable in quality like the AT4050ST for half the price, but the U87Ai is a great mic.
I have both the U87 Ai and a TLM 103. If you have $4k to spend get the U87 - If you have a $1,300 budget get the TLM 103 - There is NO such thing as a Neumann that sucks...I promise!

The Manley on the other hand is a bright high end mic, paired with a colorful preamp such as a bae 1073 it could be quite a powerful combination. one has more of a "modern" clean crisp vibe and if thats what you are going for then id say get the manley. If you want a overall mid heavy mic with solid body then the u87 ai would be your best bet.
As compared to TLM, U87ai little loose at mid range and little more crispy at the high end. But both sound great. One must correct his own preams and the talent matters the most. Then you can even sing through a biscuit.
