Iwan, when the music started to play during your neighborhood walk my eye's welled up with tears. My Mommie's death devastated my life and I'm still trying to get over it. I love Christmas but I don't decorate the way I use to and neither am I the Monica that I once was. I want you to know that I truly look forward to your Christmas vlogs each year and all year if I'm honest. Thank you for sharing; you just don't know how you help people by just sharing you daily life and your walk abouts around London (which I love). I really hope one day to visit the UK. I went through the same as you after my mother passed. I was at the hospital and said, "l'm not going to put up a Christmas tree this year or decorate."
A favorite aunt heard me say that and she said this to me,
"Oh no, Tommy your mother put that Love of Christmas in your heart and you Have to put up your Christmas tree. You have to honor her memory, you know that your mom wouldn't want you to give up Christmas or not be happy. Life goes on and our
Loved Ones are always with us even when they are gone. You must keep your Christmas the same as always, she wouldn't want it any other way!'
Thank God for my aunt. Because of what she said to me l did celebrate Christmas and l bought Special ornaments to put on the tree in my mom's memory.

Hi, lovely vlog. My favourite Christmas film, is, well I have two, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and Miracle on 34th Street. Xxx
I love The Snowman. It is an animated short film with the likes of David Bowie and Peter Auty. Very little dialogue about a boy who builds a snowman and it comes to life and takes him on an adventure. The snowman’s identity is the touching part of this sweet Christmas story.
Awwh the kittens get me all the time...love how playful&inquisitive they are they are a joy to watch.

Yes! And I love the Preacher’s Wife with Whitney Houston & Denzel Washington too, a modern remake

Yes that’s a fabulous film! Really wonderful. I only discovered it a couple of years ago. One of my favourites now. It’s free on Amazon prime. Also The Apartment with Jack Lemmon. It’s not traditionally Christmas but it’s set at Christmas time. 😊👍

I always go to the cinema on Christmas Eve to watch “It’s a wonderful life.” It’s the perfect film to watch on that day, but it is a tearjerker! I also love Home Alone 1 and 2 & The Polar Express. I’ve never seen The Grinch though.

Your little "helpers" are so sweet. The shelving unit will add some nice character to your kitchen. "It's a Wonderful Life" and
"The Polar Express" are great Christmas movies. So are "The Bishop"s Wife (the original with Cary Grant and David Niven or the newer one with Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington) and "The Christmas Story" (1983).

My favourite film is the miracle on 34th Street. Good old classic. To sit with a hot chocolate cosy fire going, the bubble bath and candle sounds delightful.
I love when you take the time to show slowly and close up, the lovely ornaments! The table was a great find, - for free! And the new shelf in the kitchen is extremely classy! I could see it in titanium white or a dark charcoal or combination of black and white- a stunning piece. It was actually funny when the tiles came off all at once- saves you the trouble of chiseling them off. Pumpkin & Mittee we’re Ms we’re so cute playing in the box- adorable as usual!

Love your new cabinet, Mr. C! And I've never started a DIY that didn't lead to getting sidetracked into sorting out something else (like cleaning behind the fridge), usually with my cat wanting to be right in the middle of it all! Favorite Christmas movies? White Christmas, a classic, and Love Actually, a modern classic, if you will.❤🎄

It’s a wonderful life is my favourite 😊. But from my childhood there’s one called the Santa Claus suit and it’s about a hire shop and you follow the story of each suit hiring and when they take their suits back at the end the shop not there 🤭

My all-time favorites Christmas movies are Christmas Vacation, White Christmas with Bing Crosby, and A Christmas Story. I also love the classic animated ones like Rudolph. Frosty, abd of course Snoopy and Charlie Brown.
The Polar Express is so magical. I'm going on the train in York with my children, The Polar Express Experience. I can't wait!
That folding table was a great find for free. Love the shelf unit you hung on the kitchen wall. Way to make more space. Can’t wait to see it after you’ve painted it. Have a wonderful weekend. These are the movies/ old TV programs I try and catch on t.v. The HomeComing is a prelude to the Walton's series, Scrooge British 1951. Sound of Music, Charlie Brown Christmas ,Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. 1st Toy Story, White Christmas / Holiday Inn, and Hans Christian Andersen.
Love the Homecoming & Thr Waltons especially while Richard Thomas was in it.
Your kitties are so adorable! The kitchen unit looks fabulous!! What a great piece. Favorite movie during the festive season: I really like "The Man Who Came to Dinner" (1942 version with Bette Davis). Also, another 1942 movie, "Holiday Inn" with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

Please watch Christmas Vacation. I think you will enjoy that one. I can't think of a popular Christmas movie that I have not seen.

Happy Weekend Mr. C! The shelf looks fabulous! I would have chosen something like that too. I'm sure that you can find another bowl for Mr. P and Ms. M. I had a very minor DIY with a new on sale console table that had some damage (that's why in was on sale). Just a lick of matching craft paint and you don't notice the damaged corner. I loved the alleyway in Richmond. So cool. One of my fav Christmas movies that I watch every year is the old chestnut with a ton of flaws, "White Christmas". It's so vividly colorful with some great dancing by Vera-Ellen, smooth singing from Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby and cut up comic relief from the great Danny Kaye (love him) and the always entertaining Mary Wickes with some tears thrown it at the beginning and the ending. National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation" is hysterical and Alastair Sim's brilliant portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge. Have a lovely weekend!

Watching in 2024; like the old Peter & Jane books. Love the leaves on the ground & seeing the Christmas garlands on the doors. Sweet doggy in his Xmas jacket. Really like the shelving unit. Your visit 2 Richmond brought back memories as I use 2 live in London during the 80’s whilst nursing at QMH, Roehampton. Lovely plates & mugs in Anthropology. Never seen Elf or It’s a wonderful Life. Think my favourite is A Christmas Carol with Alistair Simm x

Arran are a fabulous brand, their products smell divine. The kittens were being ever so helpful when you were putting up the fab dresser unit 😂. Fav Christmas film is Scrooge, the black and white one with Alastair Sim 🎅

The film I love is The Holiday. One Christmas film I've never been able to get through is Love Actually. Many people rave it but I can't get through more than half an hour of it. Same with Four Weddings.... . Never seen either through to the end.
Alas, Love Actually was too ditz y for my taste though I love all the star actors that were in it. Some parts were ok, but I was rather disappointed.

Oh I love it when you look in the boot fair. I’d have got that washboard, I want to play one, but have never seen one for sale (I want to learn). One of those cardigans (white and lilac) was beautiful too. Oooooooo at the tiles lol! I love what your community has done for Christmas. A good friend bought The Snowman video for me and the only thing she said was that she was sure that I would love it.

Loved watching your vlog. I have 6 cats ranging in age from not quite a year old to being of a mature age. The Christmas tree has been a great attraction. They have knocked it over or stolen decorations. Much high jinks but a great delight. I enjoy the update about your kitties.

Pleased the tile section worked out in the end. Now you will have to look out for another cute bowl for kitties. Looking forward to the painting and styling of the unit. Great find the folding table. Might be useful to take up to your roof garden for snacks and drinks, easy to assemble. Just an idea. Have a good weeked. My all time favourite film is one called Bookie and the secret Santa. Unfortunately I have only seen it twice as it doesn’t seem to be on tv very often but if it ever comes on again its well worth watching.
