Martyr! was a delight to read, I found it very moving and I will read anything Kaveh Akbar will write in the future. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about it!
The Booktube meet up was such a lovely day and it was fun getting to hang out with everyone in actual real life. Thank you for mentioning our Plodalong too Eric ❤️ I definitely want to read more Charlotte Wood. I didn’t realise that K. Patrick had a poetry collection out, adding that to my wishlist 😊 I hope you enjoy all of these books as you get to them. 📚
Grief is for people sounds wonderful. I also might go to New York for an extended period of time. And I also lost my BFF to brain cancer. He was an excellent person and I've been really struggling why people like that die young and overall how people get cancer, I've been paranoid I'm not healthy enough and rethinking some of the choices I've made and how very much they were influenced by my BFF's existence. Just so many strange ways grief comes out and wakes us up. Thanks for the recommendation.
I absolutely love that you were able to do this meet-up, Eric! I’ve loved all the pictures that I’ve seen on various channels. What a wonderful event! Orbital is definitely on my list! I just bought Martyr! too! 😊
I haven't read Stone Yard Devotional yet, but another thoughtful narrative is Labyrinth by Amanda Lohrey, another Australian author. It's truly beautiful.
What a lovely idea for a meet up! It sounds as though you had a great time. I am very envious that you have a copy of Stone Yard Devotional and will be eager to learn what you think of Martyr and of Orbital. I actually just read Grief Is for People last week. It’s quite a stark, moving book.
Oooh, thank you for the heads up on Three Births! I read Mrs S in February, and absolutely loved it-one of my favorite reads ever (at the end I had the same buzzy charged feeling I get when I’ve just seen a really amazing production of a Shakespeare play). I’ll definitely be picking up their poetry.
I read Stone Yard Devotional on March 1st. It was a great read and felt sure it would be on the Womens Prize/Stella. I have a copy of Martyr! on my kindle TBR. Currently reading lots of books for the #irishreadathon. Will you be reading any of the books on any of the prize lists? 🍀👋☘️📖📕📚🇮🇪☕️
Thank you Eric for so many excellent recommendations!!! 🤗📚🍀✨
That meet up looks so fun! I'm keen on Orbital and planning to get to it soon. I'm also super keen on Grief is for People.
Lovely to meet you Eric, and looks like you’ve picked up some wonderful titles.
Martyr! is excellent, so I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks Ben!

Always fun to see so many of my favorite BookTubers in one place.

It was such a lovely day! We didn’t get to chat but such a big group! You picked up some fascinating books. Children of This Land sounds wonderful.
Thanks! 📚 Yes, hopefully we’ll get to speak next time.

Loved THE FORBIDDEN NOTEBOOK!
I'm so excited that picked up Forbidden Notebook based on your review. So excited to read more Alba de Cespedes as they republish her work
Yes! It’s great her work is being given a new life in English!
Thank you for making me aware of “Her Side of the Story.”
😊
I'm currently reading 'River East, River West' which I'm enjoying. More possibilities here...🙂

Great! Yes, I'm reading the Women's Prize longlist and talked about an Irish novel in a video last week.
