So nice to have people at the very top of their game so willing to give advice to others on how to get started. 3 amazing people who we very much enjoyed filming.

Interesting to see/hear these people that live by Henri Cartier-Bresson's (HCB) main theme of "The Decisive Moment". Except high speed. What did not become clear to me is how they relate themselves to that concept. HCB was a master of choosing a perspective for a very fine composition as background or context and then waiting for something (like humans) to fill a strategically chosen empty space in that composition. One of the three in the video mentions that he wants to obliterate the background - so that avoids the challenge. The other two are more mystical about it. While a plain black background, the image at 20:59 is a great example of the decisive moment - in the film days we had to do this manually as in single shot and pray. The "it's just a tool" camera no doubt has made this easier, but you still need the vision and patience to be out there, wait for something you know is going to come and do it. Very nice work, all three.

A "perfect shot"? What is that?
