Bible handbooks are an integral part to Bible study they bring to light how people lived in the times of the Bible was written. they share matter of fact information. they give a glimpse into the landscape that the audience who would have read these books would have been living in.

I agree that reading and studying the Bible is more enjoyable than TV. I also have the handbooks you mentioned in your video. The Halley's handbook I have is the 1965 edition. It does have a lot of interesting information in it. In addition to the Eerdmans' handbook, I also have an Eerdmans' Encyclopedia of the Bible. I haven't used that one in years but the illustrations are nice. It is geared more toward kids & teenagers, I believe. Thanks for the video.
