I think I survived my entire first week eating melons on 2b2t. There was a HUGE melon greenhouse really close to spawn (wish I could find the screen caps.) I loaded up there and then headed out. Melons, anti hunger and jesus hacks went a long way!
The melon farm in the basement is at 10k 10k
Your lucky I found a base and I was sneaking around and collecting potentially useful items on my first day until I got stuck in a glitched end portal and I had to/kill myself. The moral of this story watch out for trap's and glitched blocks

This is the kind of stuff I love to see on 2b2t. Random silly builds that you stumble upon. You might not know who built them, you might know who else has stood and looked in awe at the same sights as you, but your only evidence is by simple written words on wooden signs, or the blocks that have been placed and destroyed. All you can know for sure is that you've done it on the oldest and most richly historical and cultural servers in existence.
this is in fact the kind of pointlessly rediculss shit that makes this game fun to play in genral.. that and redstone machines that i cant even beguin to understand.
Let's not forget things like the boedecken that are a testament to the majesty that people can build on an anarchy server, and to good will and "decency" amidst chaos.
